3 Major differences I've noticed (other than graphics): 1. Most character's hands are more open in the 3DS version. 2. Open mouths are more open in the 3DS version. 3. The lack of ambient lighting in the 3DS version make everyone look darker (they make up for it with overlayed lights on their textures.)

You know, I can really appreciate the level of detail not immediately apparent here. He arranged the characters in the order of their first smash game starting with the original 12 from 64, the Melee newcomers, etc. For the Melee characters, since the game never had a slow buildup of character reveals, he just put them in order of series. However, he also specifically put the clones at the end, which was a nice touch. With the brawl characters, he put them order of their reveal before the games release. It was especially neat with Meta Knight, Pit, ZSS, and Wario, as that was the order they appeared in the original reveal trailer for Brawl. And just like Brawl, he did that with Smash 4. He also put the third party characters separate, which makes sense, and ended with the Miis, which also makes sense. That was my long winded way of saying that he really put a lot of attention to detail here, and I just appreciate it.

Well in Awakening, there are a handful of support conversations where they have different dialogue. In those cases, the Female Robin is more imposing and outspoken, while the Male Robin keeps his usual humble and soft-spoken demeanor. I've always liked that subtle difference and I'm glad to see it represented in Smash.

The 3DS is the big seller in Nintendo's current war, so I imagine the Wii U version only benefits from having the Gamecube controller, but nothing else. I do not care much about graphics if gameplay is sacrificed. Especially since the 3DS version existing at all omitted lots of things from the Wii U version, aside from the namely obvious ones that I am sure you are thinking of that you think I am thinking of, even though I am not thinking of those things you thought I thought.

You people how in the HELL does link look better on the 3ds. For one he's much more blocky, his clothes and hair don't have those physics, the 3ds version looks like they just ripped him right from the twilight princess game files!

That would be why he looks better, his face is quite different in the Wii U version along with his hair so to some he looks unappealing

RumbleGear The reason why Link looks better is because he has different contrast or color correction that looks a lot better on the 3DS. Same with most of the other characters because they either have more facial expression or color correction.

RumbleGear It is sad, but I agree with them. The Link on Wii U actually looks a bit stupid to me as well. I personally wish that Ocarina of Time Link returned, but sadly everyone loves Twilight Princess a lot more than Ocarina of Time and so it probably never will.

Link, ganondorf and little mac have better faces and colors than the wii u version. Ofcourse overall, wii u is better in graphics in hd but 3ds have better artstyle tbh.
