no that was not what he was doing, he was saying if it is what God is telling you to do. that God has different plans for everyone. and if your not listening then you could be limiting yourself. That some ppl will say i will be a burning fire for God once i finish or when i go to bible school. and its not just him, there are alot of good preachers who say the exact same thing

well everyone interprets things different from what they read. and Mattie reads right out of the bible. yes you are right, the bible and prayer do bring you closer to God. God has always been there for me and has never steered me wrong when i listen to him and so far he does not seem to disagree with Mattie, have you watched his other videos. hes not doing this for him, he's doing this for God, are u really saying he is not a follower of Jesus. I'm not saying you are right or wrong

My mind is open to the Word of God. Your mind is closed to God's Word and you are going on feelings and your personal assumptions. The only way to truly get closer to God is through reading His Word and prayer. I woudl gladly teach you if you want. I dont know everything but I know enough to understand Mattie Montgomery has no respect for the Bible. Honestly preaching or sincereity does not make someone correct. Who cares what people say the interpretation is if they interpret it wrong on purpose. What is important with bible interpretation is the original author's intent! What they intended to communicate to Christians. You must interpret it in its proper historical, cultural, and genre's context. Mattie constantly takes isolated proof texts to support his idea no one needs the bible to tell us right from wrong or theology is bad. "We dont worship a theological concept we worship Jesus" nonsense.

Nice excuses, but that is not the attitude in which he said it. He was belittling people who assume they should go to bible college or seminary as well as people who start christian brands. I could agree with him on the christian brand clothing thing but he is a hyporite bc of his website as well as For Today is a marketing machine with tons of shirts and money and he even admits it in a video on youtube. Also any bible teacher or preacher who has the chance should probably go to a seminary.

Jesus died for our sins so we can be free and have to opportunity to be able to enter heaven because he loves each and everyone of us far more then we can ever comprehend . He gives us the choice to choose him, he does not force us into anything and the life we are given is a special one ! At the end of our lives God will ask us what we did during our life in the end its (US) who do not choose him he never sends any one to hell . He loves everyone of us but if we live a live of mortal sin then in the end won't be a happy place

It is not a requirement to go to seminary obviously, but if you HAD the chance or think it could benefit you and you want to lern theology you should do it. Mattie Montgomery belittles theology as well as his whole movement including other Facedown Records bands like Sleeping Giant. Mattie could benefit from proper theological study but he is too prideful and thinks he is right even when he is teaching false doctrines.

what I don't understand about people like you is how you get mad at people for preaching in a way you disaprove of when all you do is acuse others. Although there are false prophets out there I don't believe it is anybody's job to do nothing but accuse others and not spread the gospel
