Back in the old days, Squidward was a stuck up sourpuss who just had trouble matching Spongebob's wavelength. But at times they got along or he actually learns how to have fun thanks to him. With these later seasons, now Spongebob is just an absolute menace in his life for no reason and now you can't help but feel bad for Squidward

“Grandpappy the Pirate” is probably my favorite season 6 episode. I love when they don’t exclusively focus on Krabs’ money obsession. Wish they’d do it more. Another Squidward torment episode with “Cephalopod Lodge.” It could be worse, I guess. But worth noting that Squidward is not a squid, but an octopus. The 6 limbs look more aesthetically pleasing than 8, that’s all. Also Octoward wouldn’t sound good. “Squid's Visit.” Thus is what I meant by “it could be worse.” SpongeBob is a complete creep. Should he care for Squidward? Absolutely, he should think of him as a close friend. But this? No. It’s sociopathic. “To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants.” I don’t really have much to say here. Save for Gary’s absolute CAKE. I never noticed as a kid that only Patrick didn’t know who SpongeBob was. “Shuffle Boarding” is carried by that scene of Man Ray. “Professor Squidward.” This is why I despise Squilliam. And Bikini Bottom's dimwitted favoritism. If it weren’t for that, I actually would say this episode is fine. I could take or leave “Pet or Pests.” Those worms are too gross looking. Plankton never fails to cheer me up after this handful of meh. Thank you “Komputer Overload.” Him being a jerk is completely in character, unlike everyone else. Although I would prefer him being mean to someone other than his wife. He gets better in later seasons.
