Dude i need to come fish w you boys on sardis or grenada. Im just down the road west of yall. I wade darbonne, bistineau, and cypress lakes in north La. Im having hell finding them piled up together lately they been really scattered 1-2 here & there. Yalls video fishing them ditches was great. I've NEVER found em that stacked before not nowhere ever. Good stuff. Yall should come west 1 state its 50 a man limits here with no minimum size.

Haven't waded in a few years, used to do it at Sardis lake when the water was up and flood in the backwater in the trees and brush. I done got amped up. New to your channel.

Man this looks as fun as can be. I’ve heard of people doing this for years but I’ve never tried it. Looks like I need to make a trip from Florence to try it out!

Are all these fish spawning or do the fish stay up in these areas post spawn too? Just wondering if they like the cover and might hang out there after they spawn rather than going deeper?
@3kproductions269
@3kproductions269 8 ай бұрын
They are spawning. After they spawn the males will stay shallow for a little longer but eventually move back to deeper water.

Not trying to invade your area but is there a specific water depth, temp and location for a first timer to try this at either Sardis or Enid? I have been wanting to do this for several years but have never really wanted to just "wing it" since I would be driving over 2 hours each way and would make it a day trip.

When we get multiple 50 degree nights in a row and day time temps stay around 70 it’ll be time to start wading looking for them. Depending on the water level of the lake when you go you could be looking at fishing ironwoods and cypress trees or structure on the edge of ditch banks. Being your first time I wouldn’t get in too big of a hurry to go. It’s still early right now. Wait till about the second week of March, keep an eye on the weather, watch for those temps, and give it a go.

I would love to be out there in the mud with you. But be careful an alligator don't sneak up behind you looking for an easy fish dinner.

Luckily we have very few gators in our area. Definitely crosses my mind when we are in the water though.
