Right, so let me get this straight. A million dollar hypercar does the run in 47 seconds. A fucking F1 car did it in 41.6 and a time attack WRX rally car did it in 42. Thats a fucking huge achievement for the Subaru team. Its barely 2 seconds slower than a goddamn F1 car. Oh and it beat a tuned, million dollar P1. I'd say the WRX is the winner here easily.

Nope 46.2, sec. And I wouldn't get too excited by it. It's a sub-1 min run for most cars. You can't compare the gaps to a place like Spa or Suzuka which are of normal circuit length. Multiply the gap x4 for a normal length circuit. It's a hillclimb run as well. F1 tires are designed to have more temperature in them before they work really well, and Goodwood in particular is dirty from all the crap the runners bring onto the road, and the runoff isn't particularly forgiving. There's a "Do I really want to wreck this historic car when I hit a clod of dirt that some earlier Hooning brought on?" factor involved in it as well. Don't get me wrong, time attack cars can be quick as stink, but that just speaks to oversized wings and super sticky tires that are ideal for this sort of thing... but under most circumstances nothing can touch the 2004 - 2005 F1 cars.

A tad late (about 10 months) but whatever. Because it's a Hillclimb they start on a minor uphill incline. They put their hands on the car to stop it from rolling backwards when the clutch is engaged before the start. Modern hillclimb events tend to use a stick with a small wedge at the end that they put behind one of the rear tyres, blocking the tyre and preventing the car to roll back while keeping their hands away from the car. The FOS is oldskool though so they just do it by hand.

To be fair if Mclaren meant serious business that MP4/13 could probably go a lot faster, and the MP4/13 is quite a bit slower than more recent cars, especially the mid 2000s cars and the pre 2014 Red Bulls.

When people talk about some supercars being racecars with a number plate well this one is the definition of a racecar with a number plate. I don't even understand how this can be road legal. I hope that if this car goes to the Nurburgring it won't be considered to be in the same category as the 918. P1 LM is still a real hybrid. A electric only mode can be used. I do understand your views. For point of reference One:1 isn't street legal in the US. A show and go loop hole must be used. Well this car will have to go that similar route. I heard recently one is coming to the states. There will be testing at the Ring and other tracks with KB to finalize the areo package. A lot people have said P1 can't complete a full lap at the ring. P1 LM should put all that to rest. I see LM in the same class with Radical RXC, GSC 003 and Lotus 3-Eleven; Gumpert Arrow,One:1. Even the Extreme pack on the ACR makes it a full on race car. The Aston Martin new hyper car that will be shown next week is going to be pretty much a race car also. Some have said it will be a more refined Caparo T1.If I'm not mistaken it will have some hybrid power.

Jeffrey Williams Yes very true but the One:1 is the most street legal car you mentioned. Even tho it isn't legal in the States it is a very comfortable road car. The Radical, Caparo and Lotus and now the P1 LM are hardcore racecars. Plus the P1 LM has the lowest ground clearance of any street legal car in the world. The Koenigsegg One:1 is a very very good track car but it is still a proper road car with all the creature comforts you can pretty much have. So the One:1 isn't in this class. It's in the same as the Holy Trinity.

+teamracing07 LM will have A/C and features of the normal P1. If you look at the normal car there isn't much inside of it to talk about either. I not sure of audio system option but MSO can easily step in here to fill that void. Ride height can be adjusted.LM has tracks apps and cameras unlike P1. If anything there are more options available. Like One:1 high octane fuel is needed for LM to have it's full power rating. The Regera and Agera RS are much closer to the Holy Trinity then One:1.Both will be street legal in the US and don't need high octane fuel.

Because of the old F1 which raced at 24 hours of Le Mans (or at the La Sarthe circuit in the French town Le Mans) in 1995. The GTR was the long tail (LT) variant but maybe McLaren though P1 GTR sounded better and LT suited 675.
