It works great but what if I got some on the pool table felt surface. Keep in mind I'm a professional cleaner and would like to leave no discoloration or residue on this expensive surface. Help! I'm just using a fingernail

Probably you can use a 3M contact adhesive remover to clean the adhesive residue.

Can this be used to plastic like plastic folders? I want to attach the plastic folders to a cardboard...Will it melt the plastic or not?

For plastic folders to cardboard paste, I recommend Sprayidea® 32 foam spray adhesive（bit.ly/2J9tGFu） for this project. It offers webbing spray with high strength, and won't melt plastic, rubber, foam, leather and other materials.
