Was my gateway into board gaming - It's funny that this and Forbidden Island are my goto game for newbies - both by Matt Leacock. Must try Thunderbirds some day; loved the show!

Thunderbirds is definitely a step up in terms of complexity, but not a huge one. Forbidden Island is also just a great game for new people as well.

This game hits as hard as this war of mine after this year

Yeah, been polarizing. Some people have played it a lot because its topical, others not at all because it is painful

Stealing a line from Wil Wheaton's Tabletop: Ive had more fun losing games of Pandemic than I have winning a lot of other games.

Another great vid! Also, I agree. If alpha gaming occurs, it's a problem with the player(s), not the game. :)

I also have that same old version, but four years after this video was released

One of the absolute dynasties in board gaming and it all started with the core game Pandemic. How do people feel about game franchises? Is it a good thing we have 7 pandemic versions, or not? What other game series could work as a franchise? And if you haven't picked up pandemic, grab it here. www.boardgameprices.com/prices/pandemic/?

Thank you sir for another amazing 3 minutes review, Can you explain about how you measure the complexitiy level of the boardgamea? Is it about the complexity of the rule ,how deep the strategy or how hard for the beginner to understand the game? For example if you ever play chess ,go or bridge how you rate the complexity of those game?

Ease of learning mostly. I'd consider Chess a 2 difficulty, because it is easy to teach the basics. I was playing chess before I was ten pretty comfortably. I wouldn't say i was playing it well though. One could argue that Chess is more deep and complex than, say Mage Knight. But I can teach chess to a new person in under ten minutes pretty easily.

I loved this review and your one on zombiecide, very similar games! I'd also love to see a breakdown of the other pandemic games/expansions in the same way you did for zombiecide too :)

Tricky. I've not played most of the expansions, and only a few of the variants.

Great game! Pandemic - Reign of Cthulhu sees more play in my house, but I still like the original :)

Yea I thought some people may find this game a bit too full on and confronting in 2020.

Overhyped i think, but i understand why many people love it. Simple mechanics.
