Does aluminum wire hold its shape well if it is not hammered? And does it break easily when you work harden it?

It depends on the quality of the wire. This 3mm wire is very thick and resistant and seems to be a very good quality. I wouldn't hammer it a lot as I don't think it takes to hammering as well as copper. You can definitely make this design with copper wire. Good luck.

I'm not sure you can work harden aluminum but you definitely can with copper wire.

The aluminum wire does remain quite soft. You can use copper wire for this project and hammer it to make it stronger.

Hi Heather 😊 I work with aluminum as well. Do you know if it’s safe to wear? I’ve read that it’s technically hypoallergenic but I have some friends that are creeped out that it’s aluminum. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

I think it's toxic only if you ingest it. I wouldn't wear it in the shower or pool as it may darken. You can make this cuff out of copper if you prefer!
