I was actually running U-Turn before over Icy Wind initially for some time! The reason I switched it was because Icy Wind did some pretty nice damage to Gliscor/Lando-T when I needed to, and slowed down Dragon Dance mons in a pinch for Dragapult to outrun. Since I have the manual switch button, I felt I wasn't missing out much as this Jirachi is faster variant and U-Turn would go first in many cases.

Right! Every time something gets banned, another Pokemon just rises to take its place. You can keep banning threats, but that won’t stop something else from dominating in its place. People then start questioning if the next thing is too broken, but of course it seems that way because x, y, and z were already removed one by one

Yeah I'd have expected an electric eel to be a lot faster 😅 Stat balancing I guess... but thankfully we can utilize yellow magic for speed drops LOL. I wish they do something new with Regigigas in the future, maybe uncover some kind of lore about it that gives it a new form by merging in Eleki and Drago crystals or something along with the original 3 idk

Now imagine you remove top 2 on the right, swap in for Electric and Dragon crystals. Now... when the 6th Regi (or 7th including Regigigas) is released in the same gen that Regigigas can transform into its final form, you just swap out the last crystal and then the world is doomed

Yeah it's quite useful in general to block healing moves from Stall or bulkier mons, like a scenario if a Doom Desire is lined up and your opponent attempts to heal in order to tank it better you can also psychic noise to ensure no healing on the turn so the damage is inevitable.

Yeah it’s always interesting how similar ideas can lead to such different builds in practice. This Jirachi set isn’t used as much, so there’s also the element of surprise on your side which makes it even more effective. I could definitely see Jirachi being OU with how versatile it is. Many people just stick to what’s already established as viable, which is why Crown ends up in OU instead, and not Jirachi which imo is quite deserving for all it can do. :)

I love Doom Desire! I just wish that it wasn't a modified Future Sight, it would be so cool if you could have both in the air at the same time, but unfortunately it fails. For the QotD, I would love to be able to bring back Tapu Koko, so the Quark Drive bros don't feel so homeless. Which currently available mon would I delete? Wiggleytuff. It would make no difference to the game if it never existed. Stats-wise, it's an Alomomola with poor defense, less HP, no more Wish, and no Regenerator. Another mon I'd like to bring back would be Buzzwole, he owns most of the top 10 in OU.

Yeah actually when I was in the testing phase of this team, I had Doom Desire and Future Sight spam on the same team and it failed when I tried to stack it 😔 Would have been cool if you could.
