Answer for QOTD: Learning to code! I’m neurodivergent, so for YEARS I was having nothing but frustration when learning to code, especially in academia. But when I got accepted into an undergraduate research program centered around machine learning, I decided to take my time when absorbing all the info I’d need, and it ended up being a positive experience!

Vigoroth is an interesting Pokemon, whenever I play Random Battles and I get a Slaking, I'm usually really disappointed, but Vigoroth on the other hand is always really fast, has good bulk, great recovery, can set up with bulk up and also has body slam which paralyzes all the time. Never thought about using it in OU though! Also Counter is crazy, I always forget that move exists, and it has huge potential. QOTD, patience is something I'm not blessed with, I get frustrated when things take too long usually, I lack discipline!

you could say it's a sleeper sweeper that never sleeps :) I do like it a lot more than slaking. And in random battles you can't afford to lose the turn from slaking's truant otherwise opp might send out something nasty to shift the tide of war. You should pursue martial arts! It's one way to unlock patience and discipline 🥋

QOTD: I didn’t have much luck with getting accepted into universities right out of high school, so I went to community college and had 2 of the best years of my life and was able to perform a lot better in school. I saved so much money and met some lifelong friends. Currently waiting for my transfer decisions but I can already say it was very rewarding and worth the two year wait.

Don't have a good life example but i have a pokemon example...i was playing a random battle and had a trace gardevoir and long story short i played in such a way that i preserved the gardevoir so that my opponents final mon was a storm drain tatsugiri that only had surf and draco meteor as attacks so thats neat

Thank you! 🙏 Facade would be better on a Bulk Up set since there's more of a negative effect when a setup sweeper gets burnt, but for a support set like this, Body Slam is better for Paralysis chance and also since Burn won't take away from Counter's damage output

Emvee what is more important in your opinion ? Team building skills or playing skills ? And another question in your opinion should the best team possible be only composed of OU mons ? I mean off course you always feature ZU/PU mons with a ton of success but why in your opinion ? Because of your playing and team building skills ? Because of surpise effect ? Because PU pokemon are somestimes highly underrated ? It s for sure a combination of all of that but I would enjoy your answer. Like everybody thinks Charizard is total garbage but in SS you absoluty destroyed anything with it, 6-0 most of the time. So amazing.

Awesome questions, I'll try and tie them all together. I would say team building skills are more important if you are a creative and more out-of-the-box team builder. Successful team building automatically suggests you have a vast knowledge of the tier you are building for. For example, the best battler in the world with the highest playing skills, assuming they don't have great team building skills, are confined to the same general standard Pokemon/teams. You can be a mediocre/average battler but if you know how to build a team with Pokemon not commonly seen in OU that has some niche value or surprise factor/even standard mons with surprise factor sets, you immediately have the upper hand on the ladder vs. a slightly stronger opponent that has never seen your type of build or doesn't know what sets you are running. That's of course not to say a team of 6 OU mons can't be the best team, we can see how successful things like standard Stall or Aurora Veil are. But knowledge is power as the saying goes, and if you know your opponents sets but your opponent doesnt know yours, you immediately have an advantage regardless if your team is built around an OU mon or a ZU mon. This is why I value team building more. But to be a great team builder you must first be a decent battler so you can know how to counter and play around the meta

Sorry I’m a couple videos behind but here I am to like and comment for the algorithm 🫡 Fun fact: until 2 seasons ago in pokemon go (approximately 6 months ago) Vigaroth was constantly rated in the top 12-15 pokemon in the great league until they nerfed his ENTIRE moveset 😂 they were absolutely over his placement in the meta, which sucks cause I had only built one a week or so before the nerfs.
