JYP doesn't give them direction as to concept or content of their songs. He recognizes their genius, particularly Chans and lets them go their own way.

In Korea you have to be chosen thrue casting by a Company, like JYP. Than you be a trainee in Music, Dance, Rap or in all Arts. This can go from two Month to seven years (Bang Chan did seven years, starting from 13 y old). Normally the Company says wich members build a group. In skz case they let Bang Chan chose his members, about his seven years experince - best joice ever. Than the group has to debut with a Song - skzs was District 9. The debut challenge stage motto was STRAY KIDS - after winning the challenge they chose the name for their group.

1. There are trainees who trained longer than 7 years, I'm pretty sure someone from twice for example. 2. *Because of his experience 3. They called themselves skz BEFORE debut, they chose the name themselves, which again, is pretty unprecedented. The skz logo is also Chans handwriting. Skz LITERALLY has Chan written all over the group. He made them.

Bang Chan was a trainee at JYP for several years and kept seeing other people get picked for different groups. But he never quite found the right people to bond with. Then he became friends with Changbin and Han, and they decided to form a rap group called 3Racha. They wrote and produced their own rap songs and performed them locally, while still training at the same time. JYP (the head of JYP Entertainment (aka JYPE) ) knew Bang Chan was super talented - as you saw in the video he's a writer, composer, producer, rapper, dancer and amazing vocalist (and also plays several musical instruments) - and JYP didn't want to lose that talent. So in a very unusual move, JYP decided to let Bang Chan basically pick his own group. They created a survival show and that's how Stray Kids was formed. Again, that ^^^^^ was super unusual in the K-pop industry, so that alone makes Stray Kids very unique. The new group, Stray Kids, included Changbin and Han, and so that's how 3Racha were absorbed into Stray Kids. They write / produce the vast majority of songs for SKZ. And you can see from the video you reacted to that they work VERY hard to create great music. Over the years, the other 5 members have also gotten into writing and sometimes also producing songs either for the whole group or as solo pieces. JYP gave 3Racha / Stray Kids virtually total creative control - which, again, is HIGHLY unusual in the K-pop industry. They do consult him from time to time, but he has a deep trust in them and allows them to pretty much choose their own path and create their own stuff. And as we can see from their record-setting album sales and massive fan attendance everywhere they perform, I think it's safe to say JYP is pretty happy he went with his instincts.

If you say you like the rapping side of Stray Kids definitely check out 3Racha stuff...start with the song 3Racha (there's no MV)...I'd also recommend by 3Racha We Go, Hey Day there's one I'm forgetting but someone else will recommend more I'm sure anyway Edit I remembered...Zone!

First,a huge THANK YOU for listening to.our request to check.out this vid after checking out the other one already...this is definitely a much better guide on 3Racha!!😄second,I really appreciate you checking out things that aren't just dance but also their subunits,guides,and music as well!! If you want to check out super early 3Racha music from before debuting together in Stray Kids, they actually have a YT channel. There's 20 something songs on the channel. I still listen to "Runner's High" quite a bit. 🙂

18:38 Not so much motivation, the songs were already done. They just needed permission from the company to change the title track this late in the producing process.

Sunshine is my safe place, the place you go to forget everything... I'm talking about the song, because Han mentions it. All eight members of Stray kids are wonderful and very talented. Han suffers from anxiety, which is why he keeps busy.

The guy in 10:49 is J.Y.Park, the founder and former CEO of JYP Ent. People usually mistaken him still be the CEO but for some unknown reason, now he’s just a normal artist and producer in the company. He still has an important role in JYP btw
