It’s interesting to see how much has changed in such a short amount of time! I was at this school from 2015-2017 (I transferred to a different school) it’s cool that they added some freshman dorms at ATM, definitely looks different than living on Hawaii Loa campus

I really want to go to this school but I am afraid I won’t get accepted. I had a rough time in my freshman, sophomore, and junior, year of high school but now I am a senior and living a better life and trying to get all the good grades that I need and back doing all my sports and activities. Any advice?😕💜

Hi! Maybe you can talk about that in your application essay. Let them know that. Show that you're intrested in the school by attending the webinars, following their Instagram, things like that

Maybe there are quads that are bigger. Each room is a different size so you'll just have to wait and see xD

Is the third floor just for RH students? If you apply as a non-RH student, is there a possibility you’d end up on the third floor?

When this was made, it was for any freshman. But it's now only for RH students I believe. There may be some non RH students that live on the 3rd floor but priority is for RH students

@@tabrittian oh my gosh thank you for such a quick reply! i was really worried about it because it would affect whether or not I would do RH, and the first deadline is today 😅 I called the school and they said if it doesn’t fill completely with RH students, then it “could” be filled with freshman outside the program too :) do you know if freshman could end up at Loa, or how much choice you get when applying for housing?

No. Freshmen aren't required to dorm. You can stay on the third or second floor

I believe for this school year, most rooms are residential honors students. They change where the RH students are required to live every year so it could be difficult next school year

No. 3rd floor is strictly for freshman.

@@tabrittian ok thank you, I saw that y'all are having a preview day November 9th. I was considering coming out during that time but not sure. Do you know how those days usually go over for students?

@@yolandaharper4663 Yes! I've been on the student panel for a couple of them. Preview day features a campus tour, different sessions based on possible major, study abroad, finances, clubs, etc. There's also a student panel where the audience can ask current students questions. It is beneficial!
