When I was young, in Delta Force: Urban Warfare (where the chorus of this music appear), I stop at the car of the first level where we can hear this song, and just listen to it hours and hours. Now that I discover this song (3 days ago) I just can't stop listening to for hours and hours... just like 10 years back.

I am a long distance runner. This song has kept me going on some very hot days during my mid-day summer runs. (temps in upper 90's humidity 70%.) He was so so talented, He wrote the lyrics to all his songs I read. My heart broke last nite when I heard the news. I notice allot of people that have wrote knew him, I'm jealous, but most of aLL I AM IN ALOT OF PAIN, until I undergo the grieving process.

I actually grew up with these guys, the guitarist and singer are good friends of my Uncle's. I just played at The Whiskey a Go-Go with them last saturday (June 14th) They are writing some new stuff right now and are looking to do more shows. The new songs are pretty freaking sweet, and the show is just getting better as time goes on =]

I still am. My taste in music doesn't change because it's no longer popular. I only knew about them because DMX (not the rapper) and Music Choice and the like. I discovered a lot of great bands like that. There are things I miss about being a teenager, like that. That being said, I'm in my 30s and still enjoy music from that time period. Nu Metal is what I would think my kids (if I ever have them) would think of as dad rock.

I still have their demo disk. I ran into them at a gas station in St.Louis Missouri before they were even known and they gave me tickets to their show that night at a small venue. I believe they played at POPs in Sauget Illinois. They were great.

The lyrics. Those lyrics. 100% honest and real. Amazing. I have loved this band for so many years but never took the time to properly understand the lyrics, just the feel of the music. For those many years I never realised that the lyrics were such a reminder of how I was feeling at the time. In a way, I am glad I didn't know, but glad I do now.
