Metric is the most logical system where every measurement is related.

Metric system has been invented in revolutionnary France in 18th century. So, it's used in Europe since, because it's far more easy :)

Before that Marie Antoinette made sure they stopped measuring in bread, they did not have and made them measure in cake, they also did not have. All I understand are that someone got about three frogs shorter.

Around 7620 million people on earth use Metric system and around 380 million use another system OR in other words there are around 193 nations using Metric and 3 USA, Liberia, Myanmar, do not. Funny thing are that after WW2 many nations agreed that Metric simply were a better system and as part of post world war trade negotiations to streamline global trade and products a handful or two of the nations not using Metric agreed to convert to it. USA fought this but in the end caved in IF they could get a very very smooth transition. They demanded 50 year to convert so they could begin teaching a new generation from school age. Others opted to print pamflets to keep in pockets and distributed them to all their nations people and maybe have both measurements etc for 5 years. It went relatively smooth for those that made a fast shift but USA to this day, 75 years later, are still not transitioned as promised. It by the way were NOT the only very costly screw up NASA did as consequence of their rigidness. Remember the Hubble telescope in space? Well, they screwed up the conversion there too and thus had to send up a crew to modify the telescope costing billions! Darwin said ""survival of the fittest" and by that he meant the most adaptable to change! Let´s see if humanity can adapt to our certain knowledge of having to make a now VERY fast transitioning to emission free energy production and usage or we will die out as our planets regulating system collapses as climate tipping point after climate tipping point triggers these very years. Nations like USA, Australia and Canada ALL subsidise fossil fuels in 2024. It looks increasingly like we wont survive ourselves. Such a shame. It should be clear there are NO planet "B" for humanity.
