@@psiracing where did you start your journey with cars if you dont mind me asking as im 16 and want to work on my own car and swap my 3sfe with a 3sge or 3sgte

@@recleds started our journey in our parents garage at home, day in and day out with cars and engines. Did alot of reading because youtube wasnt a thing back then. Stay passionate about it and just try and learn and take in all the information you can

Is there a 5fwd gearbox for the rwd 3s? And can this 5fwd gearbox work on the 3s Altezza beams…I know the Altezza came 6speed box but I was told there’s a 3s with a 5spd box also… your help will be appreciated 🙏 love all your content keep up the awesome job…

How much do you think a basic forged 3SGTE with a Fully built head with a brain crawer 272 Cam and a Precision 6262 will make about 21 psi :) Just to shut in the dark haven't seen much information with the setup

What would you consider the practical limit of the 3s block? Currently having a 2nd gen 3s block built and I’m aiming for 450-500whp am I risking it or should it be fine?

It's a tough call, I would think it can handle 500 but no more then that

Square boss block vs earlier how much of a difference in strength

Honestly hard to say. We have made big power with the non square boss block but it was a fully cemented block.

Hey do u know if the caldinda 3sgte 4/5 gen blocks are also better casts like the 5 gen altezza blocks? Would only the 98+ gen 4 caldina blocks be stronger castings like with the 5s camrys cheers.

Any of the newer blocks, yes from 98 on would definitely be stronger then any 2nd or 3rd gen block. Now as storng as the Altezza block, that I honestly cant say unless we see a picture of the gen 4/5

We have had great success with both square boss and the standard newer 5S blocks. Square boss may be a tad bit stronger in the 1st cylinder freeze plug area. So anytime we source a block we hold onto them for our drag program

@@psiracing that's interesting. What year do you typically see the square bosses? I recall you saying the 98 engines were best to source.. perhaps due to better oil pumps?

@@greenwattle we havnt been able to pin point what year exactly or vehicle the square boss blocks come from. Sometimes we get them from camrys, sometimes solaras. i say out of every 5-6 5s blocks we get, 1 will be square boss
