Marv is saying he will give a short explanation behind his decision so the woman in question doesn't message him loads, asking him why why why why why. By telling her what he heard, go away, it's drawing a line under everything. I get why she doesn't deserve the decency of an explanation, but not providing that means she is gonna keep asking questions, which you CBA for.

The reason they sound the same in uk and Canada is becasuse just like the uk majority of the black people are 1st and 2nd generation Caribbean or African. Thats why the slang has evolved in the same way and is so similar. People in Toronto been using that slang as long as we have and Black British culture has only really become more global in recent years. .

Okay, but there’s still differences in patois between the islands.. and Jamaican patois is the most known and imitated around the world, even in other Caribbean islands certain words and phrases of Jamaican patois are spoken not only because of the influence, but heritage. It’s much deeper, research about the impact of Jamaican patois/creole.
