I just checked today, one I'm in is up to 950+ now. I was one of the Alt-f4 users, I was one of the Never ending loading, and now I'm one of the 60030 players. They will never hear the end of this, like they are still hearing about 3.18.

The other fix is that you can pledge a new ship and that'll reset your account from the server because it'll have to refresh your accessible ships. You have better luck if the ship is over $100. (Sarcasm heavily implied)

Totally agree..... 4.0 should still be in EPTU instead of this..... they feared the angry mob if they didnt, so they rushed with this improvised "dual live release", and then, when they found out it was too much for so few devs they left working, they shut down thousands of players so the people who remained in charge of development during vacations wouldnt have to deal with that many players.

They just told me they don't have the ability to fix our issues and they have the same access to the character repair tool that we do.

The problem is your character is not stowed properly and the shared server shard doesn't exist anymore. So it waits for the response from the server. Since it doesn't receive the information from the server anymore it thinks you are still logged in. If the server still existed you could fix it with the arena fix yourself. Now there is nothing you can do at your end because it waits for an information that technically doesn't exist. There should be a fix like if this information is not received after 24 hours it will stow automatically, sure your character wil loose some progress you spent on that shard but if you cannot play its a small loose.

When I got the black screen of death I knew about there being one, but not any work arounds. All I did was hit the computer reboot button and it rebooted normally and back in. I lost a quarter mill in salvage but was back in business. I've seen where the black screen may not be a black screen per se', but a dark screen with like a 19k-ish message that you can't see and you need to try to keep clicking around to find the hidden "ok" button. Yes, as usual, Chris drops a major patch/update at the worst time and we get a 3.18 part 2. As much as I don't want to go back, at least there is a game to play in 3.24 where before we had nothing to do.

Verifying files did nothing. But complete wiping the game and all files. Then reinstalling only 4.0 worked

I am one if those effected as well. Since Christmas day. I caved and got an alt account. Just so i can play but 90 percent of my ships are unaccessible. I am with you. It's so frustrating. Not to mention backseat quarterbacks gaslighting people saying it's not a widespread issue. It is. But the people playing currently won't know until it happens to them. They are on vacation until March. I really hope they fix it far sooner. They should do something for the people that were effected. Not sure what but something.

You're stuck to 140, I'm stuck to 130 shard for a week now. I also received a meaningless copy/paste ticket response today. I actually did try to go play 3.24 to do the save stanton missions because I was told the repeater ship weapon rewards would still carry over to 4.0, but I couldn't get the hangar elevators to open at New Babbage, so nothing is playable lol. Such a mess. You'd think CiG would at least have someone there for a few hours per day to hit the server restart button.

I heard this worked for a few people.....pull up your Star Citizen account where you can do the character repair. Login to the game and go into Arena Commander, then ALT+TAB out and do the character repair, then ALT+TAB back to the game and you should have a message that you have been kicked from the server by an Admin. Then wait like a normal character repair, and try to login again after an hour or so.

I a very similar experience, unable to login for days, placed a request - no response for days then a generic response stating that they will get to me. Then there was being stuck in prison after getting there due to a glitch. Also the infinite loading screen is the latest... Do they respect those that have funded and fueled the game?

Have you tried using VPN from different countries? Does that have any effect. Trying to figure out if it's a network location issue or game file issue or what. Only other thing I would try if it was me is a complete uninstall, delete all files/registry entries tied to the game and reinstall and see if that does anything. If we can figure out if it's file issue or network connection issue, that would help. The fact that Arena works but PU doesn't is very strange.

If "4.0.0-live" was truly a test environment I wouldn't care, but it was promoted as a "live" environment that CIG knew had to be 99.9998% running before the holiday break. Like I said in your previous update, is this, what we should expect if this type of error (60030) happens to the "Live v1" release (Where's the "FIRE" Team)? I'm sure CIG knew this was a strong possibility, I don't like it, maybe they should have sent out a notice their Freezing the "4.0.0-live" (4.0_PREVIEW) environment until after the holidays.

I managed to fix my 60030 error today. I first tried Arena Commander in AUS (I'm EU based). That didn't work. I tried ASIA afterwards and that worked. This may or may not have been relevant but I stayed in the free flight for at least 30 minutes. I also brought in a ship with a medical bed and used it to reset my imprint location.

It's crazy, I've received the same error after a server crash almost every day. A character repair has fixed it every time. Are you waiting the full hour after submitting for the repair? BTW, CIG has had people working through the holiday, even pushing out info and stuff on spectrum on xmas day. Its tough though. Spectrum isn't the best for searching for solutions. There's great info there but its hard to find. I get the frustration. Overall, I've had more fun in 4.0 than I've ever had in any of the previous versions. It has a ton of bugs that are either annoying to work around or crippling to the gameplay, but I'm super hopeful for a stable version of everything thats on the table. Either way, they warned us when the preview launched, and we made the choice to take the risk. I get that you don't want to go back to LIVE, but from a stress test and info gathering position, their decision makes a lot of sense.

I only get three days off over the holidays ... Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years day. CIG needs to get back to work! My friend bought a new game package so he could play ... and then he got this error while we were playing. We all got a black screen of death. The rest of us were ok and could log in again, but he got a 60030 error on his new account.

From what ive experienced, the endless loading is related to char being bound to ship on death Had the 60030 error once, wiped preview, reinstalled, did character reset and went in I did notice the preview was 15GB?, and when i reinstalled it was over 100GB? I had the preview in a folder, alongside 3.24 in a separate folder Now i get endless loading screen, do character reset, and can login Ofc, now ive said this i'm likely doomed on next login

I fixed the problem clearing the Windows firewall entries for star citizen. Then fix program files. After that I was able to enter, no problem. Hope it helps.

I might have a potential fix for this problem, What I did is log in to 3.24 until I entered game then logged out including logging out of launcher. Loaded back up into 4.0 preview and I was able to log in. Can someone else give this a try please?

How I fixed my account... I logged in to the RSI website from my browser on my cell phone and Auth that device with the Authenticator. Then delete all "Connected devices" other than the cell via the RSI site on my cell phone. Then completely relogin on your gaming PC and on the website verify that the device is listed in the "Connected devices" now. Once I checked that I relogged as well on Launcher and all finally worked. In and playing fine since. I couldn't play for days til I tried this. Good luck

Thez told us they give us the patch and go in holiday... that's stupid. Usually there is a deployment stop (no updates) before any vacations or even before the weekend. But that's just how I know it maybe CIG got some other (stupid) guidelines.

I had a black screen crash which left me unable to reconnect, I was able to use arena commander to fix it, thankfully. I understand why you're upset, if I were unable to play I'd be upset too. But please don't discourage CIG from releasing optional live previews like this. I know you don't want to downgrade to 3.24, but (in my opinion) we're lucky to even be getting a taste of 4.0 before 2025. Regardless, I hope you find a workaround soon, o7.

what makes me angry is the fact that they prioritized 'weapon duping' over fixing literally game breaking bugs like this..... now everytime i have to fight and work around some bug in the game, i do so knowing "they couldve put time in to fix this, but chose to stop duping instead". really, duping was just the only quality of life freature everyone had in this game as it was the only thing we had to have at least SOME LEVEL of insurance when the game inevitabely screws us over and crashes on us or does something that makes us lose everything.... but no, thats not ok. but all all these bugs that make players spend the first 2 hrs of their session fighting through before they can play (if youre lucky!), thats ok by CIG! >.

Unfortunately, we are at a crossroads with the company. I think even CIG knows that. The only way to effect change is to stop buying ships, stop paying for subscriptions etc. it sucks.....as this could also lead to the downfall of the game. It's quite the debacle for those of us who want to see it succeed. The overall communication of what is going on is null. We are backers but no longer treated like such anymore. If that's the case we need to let their big investors drive the game and not the backers IMO.

Alright guys found a work around that actually works some might not like it but if you want to keep playing 4.0 here,s a option i set up a new email and stated an alt account it is an option i,m back in 4.o playing with my org (which is looking for players to join us we encompass all bounties merc salvage cargo what ever you want to do Haden Interstellar ) that being said i have been locked out for a week with the 60030 error until they unlock it i can go play on my alt all the other fixes didnt work you dont need to download installer or the game log out of your current account make a new email buy a stater package verify email log in with new account and bingo your in

I totally agree with you brother man I've been getting black screen after black screen after black screen for over a week now and how much money I have put into this game is ridiculous but I just love this space game man and I am off work for 2 weeks and I've just got a couple of days left and I still haven't got to play it

CANT UNDERSTAND why they launch major updates on friday or near long holidays, for testing the players patience ? and i dont understand why some people can play and my gameplay is shit, elevators dont work, ships cant spawn, and hilarious after 2 hours of trying C2 spawned, I opened the rear ramp and it fell nose down, stupid and hilarious, a huge ship that fell on its nose,and I forgot to mention that I was somehow blocked when choosing servers on best, that I saw a few errors 60000......etc, that the chat doesn't work, that on Spectrum help the answers are like you have to wait, etc, that when I managed to reach the mine with a Prospector out of 20 pings 19 were fake stones that can't be scanned, old and good bug and more and more

Unfortunately the simple answer this time was they wanted to sell a ship they tied to 4.0. marketing said release it so they did. It's sometimes a pun but marketing really does rule the roost here.

They just don't care, they rushed 4.0 out to sell a new shiny ship to boost sales before Christmas. the knew how bad a state 4.0 was but launched it anyways then went on the holidays checking there bank accounts and having a laugh at everybody, they do this time and time again. and will keep doing it while suckers keep buying there shiny ships.

I DONT care about their company-wide vacation either. My technical company cannot do that, I was only given option for one of the holidays, not all of them. This dropping of a turd patch before Xmas/New Years tradition needs to STOP. I propose no major patches before Dec. 15 of any year, so CIG has time to patch the mess before the holidays to get a stable-enough build before they all haul-ass for 2 weeks.

IDK if this will help and/or fix your login issues. But I saw this video. Then decided to try and login myself. I got the same errors twice. Backed out of everything. Open Star Citizen folder and deleted all user folders LIVE and Preview 4.0. Then I went to windows search and manually typed in %localappdata%\Star Citizen. Then click on it to open the folder, highlight everything then deleted it all also. After you launch the game, before fully logging in change settings to borderless windows. Login was smooth as butter on a warm sunny day. Good Luck Citizen!!!✌✌💙💙💙

Just throw it out there man. I've had some success with shutting down my computer for a short amount of time. Had some success with arena Commander and I've also had some success. Whenever nothing else worked I load back into 3.24 play that for a few minutes log out then just now I got let back into the 4.0 don't know if that helps but maybe

got prison bug on christmas eve. hopping server for an hour, manage to get out of the prison and all contract missing. try all sort of method finally back to normal after 5 hrs. christmas day CIG gift me 60030. face palm. stuck till now.

i run in to this shit 5 times a day i just character reset go to arena commander and then change region and it fixes it but holy shit i cant get past 17 fps at pyro stations with contested zones NB runs at 80-90 fps for me space runs at 150fps

Yeah bunch of crap! They need to make it playable after 10 yrs. I never thought it would be this long or I definitely would have NOT pledged! I have tickets for pledges for real cash and also for being locked out, as well as missing option to buy f7a that I put in during IAE that I worked for during an event months ago. Three completely different issues. I got an automated response on all three just the other day saying bla bla bla backed up. IAE was last month and still no reply.
