I think (please correct me if I'm wrong) you made a tiny mistake at 26:07 You shouldn't put the IPV6 list "NO-B1" on the G0/1 interface as out, it should be on the G0/0 as inbound. I just tried with the packet tracer from Cisco NetAcademy and it won't give point if I follow your method but it does give points if I follow mine. What do you think? Thanks for the great video as always

same thing happen here. NO-B1 should be placed on g0/0 inbound to get points in packet tracer.

@@rylantang9575 same. it's weird though because he still got points

@@Proverbs_24-5 Just to let you know, you have configured 1 ipv4 ACL on G0/0 you can't apply another ACL on it. Remember, 1 ACL per interface, direction and protocol?
@Rohdo5 жыл бұрын
Need PLz Your definition is correct but you are mistaken. In one direction you can apply two ACLs on g0/0. One for IPv4 and one for IPv6. As you mentioned, one per protocol. IPv4 and IPv6 are two separate protocols.

Actually, I used both NO-B1 in and out on the G0/0 and it gave me full points as well.

11:39 how do you figure out the Link Local Addresses for the host machines?
@ThelLastAryan5 жыл бұрын
Link-Local configuration is automatic when you have a global unicast address. You can "force it" by typing the command ipv6 enable on the router's interface.

I would like to know in the subnet creaction, why the mask changes to /20 and not /17 because of 2 bits getting changed on the host portion because of 2 subnet being created, regards
@joshblank45795 жыл бұрын
when you borrow a bit it creates 2 subnets true but since the mask is already a /19 then you borrow a bit from the host portion making the new mask /20
@joshblank45795 жыл бұрын
you borrowed in the wrong way and wrong section of the mask. The mask is divided into ones and zeros. Ones being the network bits and the zeros being the host. When you borrow a bit it comes from the host portion always which elaborates the /19 mask going to a /20 mask. Hopefully, this helped.

@@joshblank4579 Why do we have to borrow a bit? Why can't 172.16.128.0 just be divided like: 172.16.128.0 to 172.16.143.255 and 172.16.144.0 to 172.16.159.255 to make two equal subnets? Thanks.
