One of the many things about Perinheri that I discovered was how a LOT of the themes in the book tied to the House of the Hearth and Arlecchino. Once I started noticing similarities between all three orphanages we've been acquainted to in Fontaine, I started smelling suspicion... What could possibly be up with Arlecchino? And what is she trying to accomplish?

Interesting! If there is a robot connection, it could also tie into the theory that Sandrone/her robot is (a separated piece of?) Anne of the Narcissenkreuz Institute. If Alan somehow freed Anne from fate by placing her consciousness into a robot, Arlecchino could be trying to improve upon that method, maybe by only temporarily removing their consciousnesses into a robot, then putting them back into their physical bodies, and seeing how best to do that without altering their original personalities. Sandrone-Anne could be a flawed prototype with a greatly altered personality. Seeing it as a failure, Alan might have sworn to abandon the practice, but the Fatui would find Sandrone's aspects useful for defying fate, and pick it up again without Alan.

I am itching SO MUCH to get Sandrone crumbs you have no clueeee. Idk how much I subscribe to the whole "Anne is Sandrone" theory, but it definitely has its merits.
