That’s actually not good pay. He’s OFFICIALLY on the clock for 70 hours a week. He is essentially working TWO full time jobs every week. Again, if this was a normal career field, he basically worked 8 hours, clocked out, then clocked in for another 6 hours at the next employer. I say it like that to put context on it and open drivers eyes. At almost ANY decent paying job, if you worked 70 hours a week, because of overtime being time + half, you would make the same kind of pay. Or if he worked a second full time job. Oh and I saw your comment says that there’s 168 hours in a week, so 70 hours isn’t a lot. That’s probably one of the dumbest things I ever saw said. It’s 70 hours of actually being on the clock. How much is commute time? Let’s be nice and say 5 hours a week. How much is being at work but not on the clock? Let’s say another 5 hours a week. So that’s 80 hours leaving 88 hours. How many hours are spent sleeping? A normal human should sleep 8 hours. That’s 56 hours. So that leaves 22 hours or 3 hours a day to eat, cook, shower, fuel car, live life. Sounds good to me. But what sounds better is saying making $3000. a week in 40 hours. That would impress me.

@@EazyTheRecon The truth offends you? You guys keep glorifying and LYING about the job, knowing that it’s mostly rookies who will take the job, and wonder why 90% of drivers quit trucking their first year. Tell them the truth, and give them realistic expectations. Don’t make it seem like 70 hours a week is no big deal, or that he’s making a lot of money (no he’s working a lot of hours). There’s a big difference. If I tell you I’d pay you $2000 a week, you’d take it right? Now what if I say I’ll pay you $20 a hour for 100 hours a week. Still interested? And add that it’s 100 grueling hours of physical labor. Sounds like you’re miserable and want others to be like yourself. I want them to succeed.
