Original battery empty after one month, with new battery occasionaly warning "Battery almost empty", but battery OK. When you let play the Sound on tracker, it is very silent and you will find nothing. But tracker plays self very often another, loud sound, whenever i take my keys in the hand. Annoying. Reset does not help in my case. Worth the money.

All it takes is an apple server update and these devices no longer work - Why even risk it with something as valuable as your car?

Yes and no. Apple FindMy app (and service) is open for 3rd party devices. This tag is not pretending to be an AirTag. It’s configured as “other device”. It’s unlikely that Apple will withdraw their support for 3rd party FindMy devices.

yeah these are great till the battery runs out on them which will be when your car gets stolen

Just remember to replace battery once a year and you will be ok.
