Thank you Jessica! I made 12 sets of geese. The marking takes time and made a huge difference for me. Best geese I've ever made.

Great video. This is the method I always use. I think I had the raw edge experience once but I will try trimming the point. I feel that you have a new energy and it really looks good on you and I am enjoying the videos since your return. Thanks for sharing.

This was a great video. The 4 at a time flying geese method is my favorite. I find that I get more consistent , accurate results with it. Thank you Jessica .

The Creative Grids Ultimate Flying Geese Tool allows for a bit extra in trimming! Thank you for demonstrating the corner clip to avoid the piece stuck in the peak of the goose

I feel like the smaller the flying geese get, the more oversizing I have to do to get an accurate result...trimming is my least favorite part, though >.< The four at a time flying geese method is btw still kinda magic to me, even after years of using it ;)

Could you adjust your needle position to get greater accuracy?

No, it wouldn't.

I see you draw your sewing lines. Do you ever use a 1/4” foot?

I do use a 1/4" foot- 57D on my BERNINA.

What will you do so you remember it’s short when you’re putting the blocks together?
@jessica_dayon2 ай бұрын
I won't do anything. When I start to assemble the quilt (whatever that layout may be because I'm not sure yet), I'll be able to tell when I put this block with the other ones. I'll match it up so the point is in the correct position and then I'll let that 1/8" on the one side be in the seam allowance so I won't even be able to tell it was short.
@ScrapYourStory2 ай бұрын
@@jessica_dayon that makes sense. But let’s say you decided to make rows by first sewing the short ends together. Those seams would be sewn before you realized the long side is short. I’m asking because I have this issue repeatedly and haven’t found a good solution
