I've done this with as many as four teams. It gets pretty wild and energetic. It also helps to have a TD to help monitor to see who gets the point. I also get the kids out of their chairs and gathered around their seated team member.

You do this in Spain, the classroom explodes with noise and boisterous laughter. Great game!

It is really interesting how students are playing with the game. Students are working on as a team and the two students are giving the answers. It is a good experimental for the social skills too.

There might be one problem: the low-level kids cannot give the clues while the other kids can. One of the solutions can be: give each ss a piece of copy with the words and easy explanation on so that each kid, even the low-level kids, can give the right explanation and can also help them to practice memorizing the meaning of each word.

Hello. I am an English teacher. I work in a public primary school in Ecuador ( I am Ecuadorian). I need help because my students are too unruly. I work with 2nd and 3rd grade . There are about 30 students in each class. There are no resources in the school. The book we use is not good. What activities and strategies can I use? . I have used activities I have found on the internet. I use songs. But it is not enough. My students need more activities that engage them in the classroom. Please. Would you be so kind to help me with some advice and ideas. Thank you in advance

Very good. However, due to 4-5 students on each team, it is better to make more teams so each student has a partner and is speaking i.e. providing clues.

only if people pronounce it properly..😂 I once tried to keep my Asian name and no one could say that properly.. also they found it hard to remember.. so I had to change my name into more simple version ... it wasn't european name though...

all the English speaking teachers give English names to their asian students.
@Reciclador8175 жыл бұрын
It would be a fantastic and respectful idea to keep their beautiful original names, no matter how difficult to remember or pronounce are them. It is difficult for them pronounce occidental names as well.
@rasleyrockson21284 жыл бұрын
Maybe because they are from Hong Kong? (I'm not 100% sure but their accents are very Hongkongish) In Hong Kong, most of us have an English name, mostly given by our parents. We often call our classmates, friends and colleagues, especially the ones we're not very close with, by their English name, but not their Chinese one. Therefore, it's perfectly normal that the people around you every day do not know your "true name".
