I was under the impression that BPO was termed the initiator and DMPT the activator.

There is a mistake here as pointed out by Gene's comment below. Toluidine, found in the liquid, is an accelerator - not the initiator. Benzoyl peroxide, found in the powder is the initiator - not a catalyst. You can see for yourself in this publication: Ar Vaishia et al. Bone cement. J Clin Orthop Trauma. 2013 Dec; 4(4): 157-163 or simply by googling these 2 substances (Toluidine & BPO). I just hope examiners read the comments
