If DaRon Holmes is drafted and we keep the core 4 together, he will automatically be r new 6th man off the bench. Holmes will split minutes between Evan and JA. Caris will become DGs primary backup, okoro will become Strus primary backup, and Sam will be Spidas primary backup. Wade and Niang will be situational players but not rotational. Thoughts?
@Javierthegreat6695 ай бұрын
The guy we draft will most likely sit a year in the g league. I think Emoni will get that contact and we’ll prolly get a rental 3/4 guy maybe. Covington or a saddiq bey type guy. I’d also like the idea of a mo bamba or Bol as a backup 5

If James Borrego, an offensive minded coach, is the next Cavs coach, please workout Ryan Dunn! He impacts winning! At 20 in a very weak draft there are no saviors, they all have warts. A great perimeter all nba defensive type of player must be valued. On offense, he would be the 5th option. Just don't make him a corner 3 PLANT and probably don't have him involved in any high pick and rolls. Cutting/backcuts..mid screen and rolls is the ticket while he works on his jumper! EM and or JA out there with Dunn,Wade,Okoro..will be defensively top rate! Good luck scoring on that rotation!

You can’t get a hit if you don’t swing. Regardless of position, take the player you think has most upside.
@Tony_Pesta5 ай бұрын
100%, that’s why I’m leaning toward Carrington or Holmes (I think Holmes has a higher ceiling than he gets credit for)
@bburd-jt8os5 ай бұрын
@@Tony_Pesta agree with Carrington, but I personally would trade Allen to move up and draft Carter.

Hope the new coach....gives Wade a real look at 3! Move Strus to the 2 or bench rotation.

Cavs best move is to trade down....from 20....Mil has 23 and 33, NY at 24 and 38...Minn at 27 and 37...Utah has 29 and 32....it's all about value...In conclusion...Pacome Dadiet will be a very good pick late in round 1 or high in round 2....Late #1's and very early #2's are where the value is!

Bub and Furphy are both very young = outstanding developmental players with upside! Cavs don't have anything like that on their roster outside of the core 4.

Hey Tony....you guys need to talk about Ryan Dunn..!.When you shut off the other teams fawcet..that is what gets teams rolling!!!! He would be a great pick at 20....Just don't make him a corner 3 plant on offense. Cavs will never beat the Celtics unless you have players like Dunn who can disrupt Tatum and Brown! Don't over think it...your set shot can always improve...you can't teach D at that level. Dunn is a dog/MONSTER! defensively.

We should be discussing him briefly on the next episode. I love his defense, not sure if I’m willing to bet on his offensive development but he’s an interesting prospect

The time to trade Levert is now...his expiring contract has some value but that 18% from 3 this post-season was really bad!
@Javierthegreat6695 ай бұрын
Ehh I think Levert compliments the team he’s still young enough to have for the next 3-4 years his contract is team friendly and he has the things we need Size,ball handling,defense,shooting,scoring,playmaking all around type player so I’d rather keep him. It would be max strus you would want to trade

The Cavs will have to draft upside. They only have two firsts in the next five years and there is nothing on their bench past two deep. LeVert is gone after this year. CPJ is a third PG.

@@Tony_Pesta he’s a tough point guard who’s a great facilitator, three point shooter, and rebounder for his size (shot 40% from three and 5 rebounds per game). Look at his game logs this season. Had an 18 assist game with only two turnovers. Analytic stats are top tier. Reminds me of TJ McConnell with better three point shot. Cavs need a good back up point guard bad.
@ShadowSelf2165 ай бұрын
@@Tony_Pesta Why does his age deter you from drafting him. He has experience already and you wouldn’t have to wait as long as some prospects need to develop and get acclimated to the pro game. Knecht is 23 and people have him projected in top 10
