Hey man, thanks for the tutorial; im having a hard time using boolean union to make it a single object; and getting shading problems where the shank meets the start of the prongs

As long as the individual parts of your model don't have any bad edges and they intersect, your file should still be fine for 3d printing. If you want to send me your file to look at and let you know how to fix it, send it over to [e-mail]

Hello! Thank you so much for these videos! I'm having trouble fixing the intersection. When I use the gumball to drag the rail curve down it only moves that curve by itself and not the actual object of the twisted prong. Do you know what I may be doing wrong?

make sure record history is turned on.

It is happening something similar to me, the record history is on, I can fix the curve on the bottom, but when I try to move the curve to correct the intersections the complete curve moves and do not change the sweep made before, not sure this is something with the new version of rhino.

HI How do i remove a cap after i have ceated one? as i cannot join after i have created a cap.

You can use ‘extractsrf’ to remove the caping surfaces
