if you cant import org.hibernate package --> Step 1: in Maven Dependencies folder check if "hibernate-core" jar is present or not Step 2: if not present then open pom.xml, in hibernate-core dependency remove this line --> pom Step 3: update maven project Step 4: Now in Maven Dependencies folder you will find "hibernate-core" jar. Step 5: now you can import org.hibernate package

If you are trying to create session factory object, and import is coming of mysql, please notice the session factory object from the suggestions...hibernate is second option so select that, it'll help you import proper hibernate file instead of mysql. Hope it helps someone..

No.1 ---> If you are facing issues related to sessionFactory .... Just change the version of hibernate core in maven dependency and then update it.
