the 360 shot of the finished dorodango looks like a rendered textured looks so unreal

cus it looks like one of those fancy textures that have lighting built into it. Like its a perfect circle but the texture has a rough look to it

I polish using a very soft cloth... I do mine really old school, like how I did when I was a kid. I've never seen them done this way, outside of using the top of the jar to help round and smooth the surface, but before I ever did that, I learned to make them using my hands alone and only a soft cloth for polishing with fine dust. When it came to making the "core" we would just use soil that had been highly trampled so it was a very fine dust...I was taught different as a kid by my grandfather, we didn't add clay over mixed soil and straw. So, it's interesting to see another technique. :) No matter the technique used, these are really beautiful! The wabi-sabi of some of them, I just love it.

Thank you Sir🙏 from this old Aussie lady, you have inspired me to build a home for my husband and I. Watching your builds and wall treatment clips has taught me that, this method of building is a ‘meditation ‘ of construction resulting in a grounded Healthy living space as opposed to a ‘stress build ‘ giving us a toxic space. Your spaces are where I see myself CONNECTED with the people around me and Mother Earth, give back to our land and be able to afford a whole house by saving on labour and a lot of materials.

Top quality film making, editing, style, your choice to keep the sound natural with very little unnecessary noise, all to create a beautiful end product. I am a painter. I came to see the textures. Will be implementing many of your techniques into my work. Is that your mom in the other video? I'm guessing you got at least some of your excellence in everything you do from her. You should all be proud. You are artists and fine storytellers. Thank you so much for sharing. Your work is so appreciated. I hope you guys continue your work together. In my idealistic mind, I hope you all as a family figure out a way to stay on your land, creating beautiful works that you can sell and spend your lives happily together instead of working some horrible nine to five job. Best of luck to you all!
