Thanks for your great blog, I've been following you for 5 years. I have a question, often I will do something similar to style 1: a french braid on each side and then joined into a center ponytail. However, I don't like seeing the elastic so I will flip the ponytail under and over to hide it. Invariably in an hour the weight of the ponytail has pulled down and exposed the elastic. Any tips to prevent this? I've tried both clear elastics and the colorful cloth covered ones. Thanks for any advice.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean, but maybe try adding a bobby pin under the ponytail to help secure it? Good luck!
