The correct idle RPM that manufactures recommended is between 950-1050 . The only screw on the left side is to adjust carb #1and #2 . After you adjusted the carb #1 and #2 go to the right side and adjust carb #3 and #4 with the screw on the left . The screw on the right side and on the right is to adjust the carb #1+2 and #3+4. The last screw on the right side and on the left is to adjust the carb # 3 and #4 . Here is the link if you want to buy this carb sync kit :www.amazon.com...

Carb #2 (front left) is set by the factory and there is no adjustment. It is the master carb. The other three carbs will need to be adjusted to match carb #2. The adjustment screw on the left side only adjusts carb #1 (rear left). Adjust that screw to match Carb #2. Best to set your idle to 1300 RPM for these adjustments. The 2 screws on the right side (shown at 8:30) work as follows: -the rear screw adjusts #3 carb (rear right) only -the front screw adjusts #3 & #4 simultaneously Procedure: Start on the left side by adjusting #1 carb to #2 carb Move to the right side and adjust #3 carb to #4 carb (using the rear screw) Adjust #3 & #4 carbs to #1 & #2 (using the front screw) Blip the throttle after each change. Reset idle thumbscrew back to 950-1050 RPM

Nice job on making the video THP, only thing i would add is that after setting the left side #1 & #2 carb then go the right side of the bike and if carb #3 and #4 are off start turning the left screw to match them before you go to the right screw to balance all 4---JH

Man they were way off when you started, one suggestion, I have the same guages, I use an A frame ladder over the bike and hang the guages instead of leaving them on the bike due to vibrations

Do not use the plyer to pull directly on the rubber caps... It will break. Just use a flat head driver to push the caps out from the base.

If you use those type of gauges than you have to calibrate each of them by putting them on the same cylinder and make sure they are showing the same vaccum. There's a little screw behind the glass for calibration. Better of using a mercury column style one more accurate and better reading.

Another thing, your Max is so shiny in any spot, seems brand new. Did you just keep it clean since the beginning of how do you polish?

I would change the spark plugs first because they are pretty cheap , if that don’t work check your spark plug coil . . Sometime the spark plug wire are rusted and not making good connections.
