Well done my girl. I am a seamstress. I made my curtains by hand, way back in the early 70's. I also sewed my dresses and my daughter's by hand. The satisfaction of not using a sewing machine. A bit like knitting and crochet. The old ways. Xxx

Christina, I loved seeing how easy the grommets were to insert. I thought that look required a difficult tool to make them press together and my hands, being older, are much less able than when I was young to squeeze things tight enough to work them. The ticking material will be a gorgeous project and I can't wait to see it! It reminds me of my sweet mommy who has been gone now for 20 years, but she loved the ticking material. The hand crocheting is always a favorite and I had made a small lumbar pillow using that method when I first started watching your channel maybe a year or so ago. You reminded me in this one that I would like to pick up some t-shirt yarn, as I have not used that yet. I hope you have a fabulous day and appreciate you sharing your gifts and talents!

I just want to share a secret with you-I’ve been making my own curtains for years(!) and my favorite fabric choice?? TABLECLOTHS!!! Yes!! They’re pre-measured-usually can be found in LONG lengths-are already hemmed-just add clips, grommets, or make a rod pocket!!! Sometimes I make a lining for them from a white flat sheet-which I always seem to have on hand-lol! Sometimes the tablecloths can be a little thin. But such beautiful prints and designs to choose from!!! New to your channel-loved this video!! Your work and your home is lovely! Like the way you teach!!🤗💕

Love your curtains! You measured perfectly. For future reference pre wash your fabric so your curtains don’t shrink. Also trim off the selvages so they don’t pull. You did a fantastic job. I have never heard of Annie Sloan fabric, I am going to check it out. Thank you.

The crochet you were doing on the outside of the cushions is what I discovered years ago for doing the seams of a cardigan I knitted and the outside seam looked so beautiful. For me crochet is very relaxing, but I am use to do it with a #10 needdle and a very fine HILO, I forgot how to say in inglish, but I love it doing crochet with my fingers, can wait to see where they have the Henry one. I love it !!!!

Love the zigzag pattern on the pillow cover. Would love to see a blanket done with the same pattern. I have been thinking of trying to hand knit a blanket but have been way too intimidated to try. Thank you for sharing and making it look so much easier.

Thanks for this tutorial; terrific, as usual. I had to make curtains for my entire house at my former brownstone as there were 10'' and 12' ceilings, and, drapes, if you could find them, were very expensive and had to be custom made. It was a great project and everything that resulted was exactly as I wanted it, as is with yours. I'm looking forward to seeing your ticking curtains.
