Our commercial door is keyed both sides. You can not reach in and unlock. You can not push a knife blade or razor through broken glass and then slice. Does not work. Truth is most of our attempted break ins that customers call us out on have had a would be intruder smash the glass, hit it a few more times and move on to an easier target. Include a glass breakage sensor to a bell and to your alarm system. This makes the best case for folks to move on quickly. Thanks for checking us out.

Frank Friedlander would you say that glass similar to this last segment with your film on it would be used in say highrises where it would protect people from accidentally breaking and falling out? Do you have any idea what type of glass and coating was used for madalay bays windows?
@alin8891able2 жыл бұрын
Almost all of these test have something in common. They start banging the window in one spot and then keep focusing on different areas of the window to artificially increase the number of hits the window takes. When a weak spot is created they either change the tool or bang it with their feet. If you get a guy from a competing company to test your film out you will realise he would be a lot quicker at going through the window.

This is a more effective ad than I have ever seen for windows - and i've seen a painful amount. Swell job, y'all. And thank you

I noticed that too. I wonder if it was with the mentality of breaking ice, where you often you have to weaken the surrounding layer before reattacking the main breaching point. Even so,, it looks like exhausting work to get through the layering.

@bradbarber7995 жыл бұрын
Seems like the their film and the previous laminated performed about the same, especially considering the demonstrator eased up on his swings and spread out where he was hitting the glass. With that said the film is probably quite a bit cheaper than a brand new window.

I'm pretty sure the laminated glass was actually a lot harder to get into. At the last one he didn't concentrate on one spot, and when he did, the glass broke pretty easily.
@gregcorwin83163 жыл бұрын
Laminated glass comes in multiple different thicknesses for different applications. Keeping it simple, the thinnest laminated is for basic safety glass (thinner for glass less than 9 sqft or thicker for glass larger than 9 sqft), next level up is security glass, next up is hurricane impact glass. Past that is bullet resistance and so on. The laminated glass that was tested tore like basic safety glass for less than 9sqft. That is the weakest laminated available.

From what you show, the progression of more effective tools goes from punch to bat to crowbar. My guess is that most criminals are going to start with a crowbar rather than any of the other tools. Is the crowbar more effective? If the guy had started with a crowbar on the first three doors, would he have gotten through the door faster?

All those tools I would have chosen a 5/16" drill bit and cordless drill and just drilled the tumbler out and open the lock lol. All the fancy glass and door tech still can defeat the fact a simple tumbler style cylinder in a crap design and easy to drill out in a matter of seconds lol. All I all though impressive for regular window glass..

At the first Break-In at 0.45 with the Clear Security Film firstly he kicked it in 3 times then 2ndly he belted it 5 times with a Base Ball Bat then 3rdly he kicked it in again 4 times but a bit more softly but look at all the shit he went through and it waked up all the f'n neighbours, its like a car salesman who illegaly accepted three deposits on a car and then the first two customers come back yelling the Shit Fck out of him.

so in the videos of the LV attack, large portions of the windows were smashed/removed. does this simply mean that guns are better at breaking windows? i say no because the broken windows in madalay bay appeared to be broken with straight edges, as if the laminate reinforcement wasnt either present in those windows(a building code violation?) or perhaps breaking that type of reinforced window with a gun actually does make the window smash differently from a bat,crowbar, or center punch. i smell fish!🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
@justinofboulder6 жыл бұрын
Ha! I ended up on this video wondering the same thing. Though the media is reporting he used a hammer, it's possible he just started shooting through them. Given that he didn't appear to be a skilled marksman (as in he had multiple rifles set up with bumpstocks, as opposed to aiming and making mag changes), it seems possible that he just started shooting through the windows....

Or u can skip all that and jus put 1.5 inches of poly carbonate and no glass at all. Have fun breaking into that.

On the final attack, the hits were targeted all over the door rather than concentrated in one area. This would provide a quicker entry.
