I ate. I'm full. But somehow, after watching Aaron's flavorful cooking, I'm hungry again. I swear I can almost smell the food though my screen. And Claire's amazing food reviews really don't help. She's so descriptive, and she looks like she's enjoying the food so much. I'm craving all the foods shown in this video now!

I didn't realize that teriyaki sauce was so easy to make. I haven't had buldak since I was in Korea, many years ago (1987); sadly, I can't make it at home as my wife can't do spicy food any more - so it'll have to wait until we can have some spicy food fiends over for dinner. Many thanks for this video!

I used to marinate my teriyaki chicken and then cook it like my daddy taught me. But I did it this way, and my dad was sceptical at first, but when I made the teriyaki chicken this way, he said it was the best he ever had. So, I'll have to take a picture next time. Thank you for the recipe. ❤

Have been watching you for a few months. One of my fav channels, the two of you always make any day brighter. Enjoy the recipes and your humour. Aaron - I appreciate when you make suggestions for using different ingredients or what you have at home, very helpful as sometimes in Canada some of the ingredients not easy to find. Claire - always a joy to watch, so sweet and always makes me smile. Loved seeing your dog in the background, super cute. Thank you for all your hard work and sharing your recipes and techniques. Hoping you get a sponsor soon, the two of you definitely deserve it, great job.

Note from tons of last-minute teriyaki cooking: you don't have to make the sauce in advance at all. You can just put equal parts mirin, sake, and soy sauce (+ sugar, but I personally don't like super sweet food) in the pan with the chicken once the chicken is cooked through. Just move it around and flip the chicken to coat. I literally just put a big spoon-full of each liquid in the pan and its done in like 2 minutes, lol.

Hello, Aaron. How can the chicken get crispy under a lid? Whenever I use a lid, it creates steam and my meat is not crispy.
@AaronandClaire2 жыл бұрын
The cornstarch will help make it crispy, don't worry! Also, I suggest putting a lid on after you cook the chicken on both sides just to make sure the chicken is cooked through. Doesn't have to cover it the whole time! Hope you make it next time! 😁🙌

I really, really love how you not only list instructions ("do this, then do that") but instead actually explain _why_ you do certain things ("do this because", "if you do that, then..."). It is incredibly helpful to know why a cook does certain things!
