I had plans to go visit my mom, who is 86, and 2 sister's and 1brother's family, in Goshen/Elkhart IN. I made some of your easy chocolate covered dry roasted peanut clusters. Some in white chocolate, and some in dark chocolate. I also made the gnomes, using bugles and red cinnamon imperials (they were my favorite, because of the crunch, sweet, salt, and cinnamon flavors!) I dipped pretzel rods in white chocolate as well. I had little treat boxes leftover from last year, so I used them, to take gifts of home made candy to my family, including grown nieces and nephew's family. I also included jars of my homemade jams and jellies, and salsa. As an adult, I appreciate gifts that were home made much more than store bought! It takes time, money, and love, to make gifts of food and candy. My mom makes quilted gifts, which I will always treasure, and could NEVER replace, once she's no longer with us! Thank you for the many ideas of home made gifts! You told us you started smoking again, after your mom passed away. I say this with love and great concern for your health; if you haven't stopped smoking again, it would be the best gift to your family and friends, for you to quit again. YOU are irreplaceable! Your grandchildren to adore you! Time with you, being healthy, and an example of how smoking is bad, and they should NEVER COPY, is the other best gift! They can't get addicted, if they never try, even one! Merry Christmas, and May 2025 bring you and your family, many Blessings from God!

I started again too.

@valerieirvin249 I'll pray you can quit! All the stress we've been through, since covid, has caused many people to start smoking again! Too bad stress doesn't cause the majority of us to exercise, or eat healthy! It's always bad habits that surface, or resurface, like drinking too much alcohol or smoking cigarettes!

I used to do fudge and pretzel dipped in chocolates and ritz crackers and peanut butter dipped in chocolate . This year I haven’t made those home made goodies but I agree using the microwave to melt the chocolate or bark is the easiest. I enjoy all of your videos. I wish you and your wonderful family a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. God bless you all. 🎄
