Wonderful as always Mike. Are there any producers of Hereke's any longer? I know the Chinese producers flooded the market, but perhaps some boutique makers still produce?

Hi Mike, Yes, there are a few weavers that are still weaving fine silk rugs, but they are in the opinion of many (including me) nowhere close to those of the old days. I have had a few pieces from contemporary workshops, but was told that I should not say anything negative about them... ...so I simply did not feature them... But stay tuned, when they turn their back to me, I will feature a few new pieces and explain why they are no match for the older ones 😉
