Such a precious manger and indeed the true meaning of Christmas. I bought a Little People nativity set for my grandkids a year or so ago. My kids decorate early, so their decorations went up November 1. I asked my granddaughter if they put out the manger scene, and she sadly said, “We have lost Baby Jesus!” I hope they find him soon!

I got a sign with that saying on It at walmart last Christmas. I absolutely loved it!! I can hardly believe that we are in the holiday season again. Christmas day will be 6 years since my dad went to be with Jesus, and almost 2 since daddy came for mom. I miss them terribly, but this time of year is extremely hard. I tear up very fast. Sending you hugs. My dad was diagnosed with cancer in July so this could possibly be his last holidays and we can’t all be together. We just don’t want to risk it. This whole deal sucks but we have to be thankful for what we do have and take life as it comes day by day. 💜

A suggestion, if he's able to, have him tell you stories about him growing up and interesting things in his lifetime. My dad was born in 1919, so the stories he related, I wrote down. I go back and read the ones I wrote down often. One night, my daughter was there and went to get a drink and daddy stopped her to talk. He told her about the hobos and the trains. I begged her to write down what daddy had told her..she didn't, now those stories are gone forever. Sad.

Hi Wendy. My heart. Your manger came out so beautiful. Yes, it was so beautiful and the meaning behind it brought tears to my eyes. Yes, Love did start in the manger. Just so amazing. I think that this was one of my favorite Christmas DIY videos I have seen this year. Every project was amazing. I thought the manger would be my favorite but your incredible Christmas ornament of Mary, Joseph and Jesus was a tough 2nd. You took so much time for the ornament and believe me it was worth it because it was everything. I am going to try and recreate that myself. That is the reason for the season! Now the lantern!
