I’m sure this is the first WEC video I’ve watched that’s in 1080p. Cheers for stepping up the quality and listening to other feedback! 👍🏻

Out of a 4 hour race you've managed to extract 6 minutes of action? Damn

WEC is a procession. You didn’t miss much
@F1ll1nTh3Blanks5 жыл бұрын
@@joshuak4372 WEC is not a procession. I watched the race and there was lots of action between Rebellion and Toyota surprisingly. There was also the usual suspects in P2 and Pro AM. Because the race is endurance sometimes there's moments where the car's are in their own plots but usually things switch because of one thing or another and the action starts again. That's the nature of endurance.

There'll be the usual 50 minutes later on.

The best format of extended highlights I’ve ever seen is on @GTWorld channel - 45 minutes of edited bits from race coverage with live commentary - nothing to compare with this “extended” highlights
@shahmirkhan15025 жыл бұрын
WEC does 52-minute highlights too. Wait a week or so.

Shahmir Khan yeah good point but it would be good if we didn’t have to wait a week

It's calling multi-class racing. 4 categories and drivers fighting for their category win. So we can say '4 races in same time' . They're doing that cuz it's charming and makes more interesting to watch the endurance races.

For anyone who was there. How did the new Porsche sound?
@F1ll1nTh3Blanks5 жыл бұрын
WEC has good quality audio compared to F1. Listen to it during testing and that's a good representation of how it sounds. I think Bozzy or one of them has a video. It's alright but not quite the previous set up.

ғɪʟʟ 1ɴ ᴛ҉ ʜ3 ʙʟᴀɴᴋs - His channel is fantastic. I saw the first test they did at Monza a while back and wasn’t too impressed. I’ll check to see if there’s a newer video. Also I’m not convinced the WEC sounds much better than F1 now... you have the Porsche’s in AM and a few other decent sounding ones but most are turbos as well these days. Hopefully the V12 Valkyrie will make things clearer soon!
@F1ll1nTh3Blanks5 жыл бұрын
@@mr8I7 Yeh most of these new turbo's are just not up to it rn. I mean they all sound fine irl but I like to watch on screen and they don't stand out much like the old engines. Still there is some hope with new factories joining. I hope Lamborghini and Ferrari join too. More rich noise. I know Brabham will join with their crazy Ford motor.

why not put P1 in the back for starting grid....GTE-Am..GTE-pro..P2..P1
@Maenfy5 жыл бұрын
That would just cause chaos, I don't see any reason in doing that.

@@Maenfy that's the idea.... driver skills will be tested.
@Maenfy5 жыл бұрын
@@tedwijaya1 Well not really, it would just cause unnecessary accidents which would further shrink the small field.
@mr8I75 жыл бұрын
Go further have them start at different times. P1-H 10 laps behind, P1 8 Laps, P2 5 Laps, GTE-Pro 1 lap. Have at it. At Silverstone Rebellion would've won by a lap with this method. The top P2 would've been one lap behind like the Toyotas. GTE-Pro still miles behind but they would greatly benefit from a very wet race so they'd get their day in the sun as well.
@tedwijaya15 жыл бұрын
@@mr8I7 or let them start 20 secs apart behind a safety car...so by the time P1 crossing the start line, they will be 1 minute behind GTam.

The FIA should've made Toyota remove the hybrid element of the TS050. Lmp 1 is pointless when there's a one horse race at the front. I know a fair few people who skipped the race this year because of the inevitability of a Toyota win. For me the rules should've been changed by now. Porsche left in 2017 and by 2019 there should've been more efforts to get the privateers closer to the front running pace. The token gestures so far are never going to result in a competitive battle for the lead.
@F1ll1nTh3Blanks5 жыл бұрын
That's how to get Toyota to leave and lose manufacturer confidence. Once you screw up the rules, you need to take the L and learn from it. Don't penalise others for your screw ups.
@mr8I75 жыл бұрын
ғɪʟʟ 1ɴ ᴛ҉ ʜ3 ʙʟᴀɴᴋs - So you think the whole series should be jeopardised for the sake of keeping one manufacturer happy? I like the Toyota team and I’m thankful for them stepping into save LMP1 when Peugeot dropped out last minute back in 2012. But they’ve had their ‘free lunch’ at Le Mans now for the past two years with no real opposition and taken the victories they’ve craved (and deserved) for so long. For 2019 there should’ve been a stop gap solution where multiple teams could be competitive before the new rules get implemented. For me either LMP-H should’ve been abolished or LMP2 been made the top class.
@F1ll1nTh3Blanks5 жыл бұрын
@@mr8I7 Not at all, this it major part of why they killed off P1. The thing is now it's untenable. Toyota knows it but to penalise Toyota by banning their investment after all these year is poor form. Better they can the entire thing. If they do this other manufacturers will see and won't trust FIA and ACO. Same in F1. It's becoming too expensive and untenable but will FIA be mad enough to go to Mercedes and Ferrari say "look I know we set the rules too high and you spent too much but now we're gonna ban, huge chunks of your investment to try and save the sport." They could lose 2 of their biggest players and the other potential players think" if they will do that then how can we trust them." It's a catch 22 but if you let the horses bolt out of the stables and leave it too long. You quickly find it's harder to get them back after a certain point. It's not the 1st time FIA have screwed up like this sadly. It drives me mad when I see them repeating the same mistakes but this is the nature of greed sometimes. What can you do. It's business I suppose. 🤷

Might as well ban Toyota
