That guy is the worst miniboss in the series. Way too big of a hitbox, attack patterns are random, there’s little room for error, and due to the game using hit points instead of a health bar, it results in one bad time. Many of my deaths were to the mid bosses, especially this one, second only to Master Hand.

As someone who 100% the original game, I need to make this clear to everyone: These guys are basically managing to get lost in a paper bag. The direction doors go matches essentially what “side” of the room they’re on, and the doors that haven’t been explored yet glow, making finding new areas trivial.

Btw I'm telling. Area 8 can only be accesed by cabbage cavern. That area 1 portal means that it's a big button to area 1. More specifically the lobby.

The chaos of this playthrough is incredible. Can't wait for what will probably be the finale. I am coming to terms with Amazing Mirror being one of the worst Kirby games, though. Even discounting all the lag, the map is a mess, you lose Copy Abilities on almost every hit, and you need specific ones for progress fairly often. Because you can progress down multiple paths and fast travel to ability rooms and players doing important things, playing Amazing Mirror in a group is probably still better than trying to solve this game on your own. I'm glad this series condenses its pain and triumphs into a tight, well-edited package, cuz' there's so many cool and unique things in this game that are drowned out by frustration.

This provides even more characterization for our unlikely quartet. Failboat is getting bogged down with routes, maps, puzzles, and everything in-between (including Bonkers), turning his brain into soup. Vernias hates fish. Carthu is stuck fighting the hardest mini-bosses that are equivalent to the difficulty of Elden Ring. Don has Bat fire PTSD. And all went insane in the waterfall puzzle in the confusing maze known as Cabbage Cavern.

Also, now that I am thinking about it, the only areas that they have not cleared all rely on them completing the puzzle in Cabbage Cavern (to complete the area itself, to access area 8, and to create a connection to area 5). Unless they can put their collective 4 brain cells together, they cannot complete the game.
