Good video. Something important to consider with d1+2 is if the opponent can backdash away from it. Some characters (Alisa) just don't have to hold the mixup at all. So to help fully see how viable the mixup is, I'd set the CPU 1st action to block, and the 2nd action to backdash.

I wanna add that whenever I go for the mix after heat smash or running 1+2, I'll do db3 instead as my low option if I think the d1+2 won't connect
@coachkazama843416 күн бұрын
@ both attacks have a 20 frame startup, I don’t see any reason to opt for the lower damage option here.
@Drag0nReap3r16 күн бұрын
@@coachkazama8434 The reason is that d1+2 can whiff. Like TheProswagonist said certain characters can backdash out of range of the move. Also if you do running 1+2 at tip range you're also out of range for d1+2 to land. Hitting the lower damage move is better than whiffing the higher damage one, but I'm not saying to generally pick db3 over d1+2. It's mainly in these rarer cases if you're observant enough to see how far you are

@@Drag0nReap3r d1+2 will always whiff against every character if Naniwa wr1+2 is blocked at tip range.

yep, i think coach should've mentioned f4. you can basically represent tracking awareness during your pressure and still be plus (keeping your turn). it is a fantastic move. when you throw it out, always be ready for the pick up since its a bit tight. even in higher ranks (gold) some folks will assume its negative and take their turn back, in which case you can get a free df1,2 or a lower commitment (armour beating) 1,2,3.

if the opponent is doing power crush to avoid mixup then go for can can instead of the grab.

@coachkazama84347 күн бұрын
I'm not quite sure what you're referring to. u+1+2 and Naniwa Gusto u+1+2 have entirely different uses. Using the regular u+1+2 is not a viable option for oki in comparison to the others. Naniwa u+1+2 primary use is to spike for extra damage for a round ender. Hopefully this helps

i am REALLY afraid of using a -18 low :/ i do realize i struggle to condition my opponent to duck... but i really feel many times that i put my life on that mix up :/ (especially with dmg we have from a heihanchi for example)
@coachkazama843423 күн бұрын
Take the risk! Always look at your opponent’s response to d+1+2 on a case-by-case basis. You are limiting yourself by being afraid of what 'could' happen. There will be games where they don’t have an answer and it rarely gets blocked. There will also be games where they are ready to block the low and reveal that early, in which case that’s good! We will show 1+2 in this situation to beat the preemptive ducking.

Asuka my main, r1+2 can easily be duck and wiff punish losing most of your health
@ApeXMJM24 күн бұрын
If you start to notice that your opponent ducks your wr 1+2 everytime you can just Mix it up with f2, ff 1+2 or wr 3. You have to adapt to your opponent as well. F2 I would only use if I See them ducking cause it leaves you unsafe on Block. Wr 3 is quite safe but it can be side stepped. FF 1+2 might be hard to input but it is safe with the install. +3 or +4 iirc.

@Talking_Ed24 күн бұрын
I'd say let them come to you you have good defensive tools, that's what I do at least when someone is just running away.
@dontpetentertainment345024 күн бұрын
If you're opponent is playing patient and you get flustered just play the life lead game with them. Asuka has really good defensive tools and always have f2 ready if they whif a situation .
@Straaaayyyy24 күн бұрын
Unfortunately big part of Asuka pressure can be avoided by simply back dashing so it’s important to use her ‘get close’ moves like ws1+2 or uf3, f2 cancel
@queenritsu47clips7324 күн бұрын
If the back dash used forward momentum and delayed timing. A single backdash unfortunately caused alot of stuff to wiff with out girl. When people do this I start to read their timing in the back dash. Dash ff into seeing what they do. I like to delay the timing and hit them with the 1+2. Delay timing has helped me alot and it's like a whole nother mix up.
