Don’t think it’s fair comparing Alfredo’s first season with Dessers. Dessers cost 4/5 x the amount and was much older having had experience playing in other European leagues. Alfredo was a young guy coming from Finland. Dessers should be expected to do much better

We cant rely on 2 strikers, Danilo injury prone. Hamza is young, dessers wants away. Were spending on a raw talent. We need a proven goalscorer

I was one that gave Sima it tight in his first few games. Convert now, nail on the head: big game player and better than anything else un the league by a distance.

I dig Shana’s feelings in Dessers, felt that when we binned Sakala, I was ashamed tbh. Cyril is a far more expensive super sub tho. He’s got a brain so is an astute fellow behind the scenes where Sakala was more bubbly and a laugh. We just got to trust the manager, He won’t get everything correct but we MUST back him ALL the way. No Mickey Mouse folk crying shit. 🇬🇧👍 O.s I want Sima and Shankland, We got to work out deals

Of course we need tons of players, we literally said that but the question was do we need another 9 with Igamane & Danilo, the answer we gave was we need at least one more 9. That’s not to mention, wingers, defenders, even a 6 which we spent most the pod discussing.

@@YouWillAlwaysHearUsRoaring jota, vickers and abada were on loan that season nice try though and we spent 4m on dessers 6m on danilo and 3.5m on lammers how did that go. Also we have just spent 4m on diomande that ain't a bosman and 2.5m on ighamane we are also literally 3 weeks into a window that lasts10 to 11 weeks not even a 3rd of the way through so calm down you'll give yourself an aneurism.

Seems like a bit of revisionism regarding dessers. Even in the games where he scored he rarely had a good game. He couldn’t occupy a defence and when we did have to defence he couldn’t win a long ball to save his life. We’ve won a lottery if we get anywhere close to £4m for him

Not sure McLean is what we need on a free yes but he’s not even a number 6 imo that’s what we require,we have 6 10s ,Dowell,Hagi,Lammers,Lawrence,Cantwell and Lowry and unless we offload at least 4 of these guys bringing in another squad guy is no for me

Anyone else getting (really) nervous about James Tavernier staying? Imagine these young fast skillful wingers pounding this guy in these CL qualifiers... But yeah ... hey gotta get him his testimonial eh? ! £ 1.5million per year base salary × 10 years. But yeah - let's give him bumper payday ( even though he's costing us goals. Week in week out. Superb.

Shona just completely makes stuff up and nobody corrects her it’s unbelievable 😂. Dessers didn’t have a better goal to game ratio than Morelos 😂. Morelos got 29 goals one season in 47 games and 30 the following in 48 odd games. Stevie is the only one on this who knows what he is talking about it’s criminal

That’s not what she said though mate, pretty sure she said in his first season. 14 in 35 in season one, Dessers 16 in 35 in season one. Most Morelos league goals was 18 in a season. And her point wasn’t that he was better but that we all worship Alfredo but Dessers doesn’t get credit. She’s entitled to that opinion. I think Alfredo is a different animal & said that As for making things up, Shonas stats etc are all sourced so I don’t think that’s fair on her mate.

@@fourladshadadreamMaybe slightly harsh on Shona although she did say Dessers had a better goal to game ratio than Morelos did in his first 4 or 5 seasons. Dessers just isn’t good enough and I’m glad there are still honest Rangers fans like you on these platforms who say it how it is and don’t accept the mediocrity that’s been at Ibrox for so long. A lot of our fans have became apologists for failure and average players. Let’s be honest do Celtic fear Dessers ? Absolutely not. Keep up the good work Stevie and continuing to be a grumpy bear because you’re one of the very few along with David Edgar on these podcasts who say it exactly how it is. I speak for many fans who watch these podcasts who have the same opinion your by far the best on this. Keep been brutally honest even if the happy clappers don’t like it. 🇬🇧

I understand everyone has their own opinion but he along with 80% of this squad just aren’t good enough. Just hope we manage to get 6 or 7 out the door and atleast another 4 in to adress the spine of the team or it will be the same movie as last season.
