Choral singer here. You're supposed to open your mouth for projection and to make sure you don't strain your vocal chords. By opening his mouth he has access to higher notes without going into his head voice. That's how Youngjae's voice was so powerful. JYP's was breathy and sounded like he was relying on his throat way too much for projection. JYP's stupid.

I think that might be too much conspiracy tho, because I've been a choir and a rock singer for several years and different types of singing require different methods. I do think JYP was a bit too extra, but the airy technique to give your voice a lilt is actually pretty common, and opening your mouth too wide sometimes means you run out of air faster. Agree! Had voice lessons before during Elementary and was a choir member since Third Year Highschool until Fourth Year College. Well, I am oftentimes reminded that when singing, you have to open wide your mouth to emphasize clear pronunciation and diction of words. Plus, it avoids you cracking up midway while singing especially when reaching higher notes since there will be shifting from chest to head tone of your voice

I remember people taking about how JYPE as the best entertainment company for idols compared to others (especially SM and YG) and how JYP himself is so close to his artists. The fact that his ex artists still kept in touch with him was brought up to validate that point. But now seeing how things went down with GOT7, it really makes you wonder. These 7 boys who are so close to each other and tried their best to stay together as long as they could finally went their way because the company couldn't treat them right. The way the boys and JYP unfollowed each other shows things didn't end well between them. GOT7 was literally the no. 1 kpop group in Thailand and they had so many other international fans. Brought in so much money for JYPE, had great variety sense, amazing performances but all wasted by the company. The company should've pushed them a little more when they had the chance, given them individual opportunities more when they could. They lost a *GEM* and their reputation. I will never see JYPE as the "idol friendly" company they were said to be. They should start focusing on their boy groups as much as their girl groups now.

I mean, handling a company is a big thing. From what I have seen, he seems to promote StrayKidz as well as any other girl group like twice. It was JYP's biggest mistake to fail at having good promotions for GOT7, but I feel as though it also lead him to take better care of groups like StrayKidz. Another reason is GOT7 was created before JYPE started to this thing where they had their groups put under a company under JYP so it could be better for managing. So it makes sense why their promotion suck for GOT7.(the first group was TWICE) I also don't think it has anything with JYP not wanting to be undermined by his boy groups, because clearly he has already been undermined by them. I really do hope he treats his future boy groups as well as he does with StrayKidz. Also stop blaming it on JYP, he's not even CEO anymore and jut makes music for his groups. I just think JYPE entertainment, needs better managing. I do think its the best idol company after bighit, because they truly do care about their idols health, but fail at good promoting and can make bad choices with groups at times. I’m glad stray kids get treated well according to your statements but got7 used to be treated well too and look what happened... I have to say that day6 is also not given enough priority. jyp doesn’t have good relationships with his previous artists except for his favourites, i can honestly only think of suzy and sunmi as the artists he’s still in touch with. Not to compare but even lee sooman and yg maintained relationships with many of their older artists even if they had beef with others and hell their companies are even known to have controversies about mistreatments and biases. By the way jay park is not the only one who thinks that jyp favours the girl groups, got7 and 2pm openly says it all the time, even if they say it in a joking manner, it’s impossible not to sense that they are mildly complaining. I also dislike jyp for overworking twice and I’m glad they finally get to have their proper breaks from time to time. I also want to remind that even if jyp is no longer the ceo, he’s stil the cco and executive director of jype which makes me more frustrated because he is the literal head of all the promotions. It’s even worse than being the ceo given that got7 has to promote using their own personal accounts. He has full control of the creative direction of his artists and i hate how fans shift the blame by saying “he’s not the ceo” when him being the cco makes it so much worse. You don’t need to be an idol of jype to know that he favours his gg when it is so apparent on television, he supports twice so much not even a blind man can say otherwise. If I’m not mistaken he even lived with wonder girls in their dorms. He makes it so obvious bruh. I’m not saying there should be less love and support for the ggs but there should be the same amount of energy for the boy groups dammit.

There’s so many videos of JYP artist Calling out JYP whether their still within the company or has moved on. I think Jimin (Or Jamie) was the bravest since she made it known that she’s a singer and wanted new songs. Sunmi also asked JYP if he remembered one of the song he rejected and he said no (awkwardly) so she said it’s number 1. i found a comment on twitter about how JYP always treated his boygroups as his 2nd self. In my opinion, some Korean Entertainment Companies have its own "mystery" Just my opinion, every time JPY's somehow make a girl/boy group, he just promote them up to the point he can get "enough" benefit for every money he has spend. He somehow hold their wings in order not to create another "kids" who will grow bigger and stronger than him... like RAIN/BI, he doesn't want to create another RAIN, Suzy and Sunmi. The reason, idk, could be a sign of narcissism (just my assumption on why JYP has to be the best and based on his song "ALIVE", and how he make all his talents HAVE TO singing and rapping by "his way"), or simply he doesn't want to get left anymore by his strong talents. I am totally biased here but I know got7 is different than other groups. Jackson has been doing solo activities for years while also doing his best with got7. They won’t grow apart. Their bond is out of this world. They’re family and when they said GOT7 FOREVER I completely believed it. And I will trust them.
