Very enjoyable Mr W...... i rememebr the Cravens units on the Stratford Low Level to North Woolwich service back in the 1970s on days out with my father...... Nice to see one preserved!

There is something so comforting about the first generation DMUs-like a toasted tea cake with a nice cup of tea. What a pity so many of the more fancy types were full of asbestos and are no longer with us. I wonder if we will ever see one getting into fourth gear out on the main line some day?

Wonderful film Ian. Thank you. I love how my beloved ELR dedicates enter days to running the brilliantly preserved collection of DMUs. They’ve done a wonderful job with the Cravens unit haven’t they? Love the original moquette on the charismatic curvy backed seats. . And I think the 104 seems more at home in Lancashire than it did in Staffordshire. I just wish it was a bit easier for me to pop back to ride them for the day. Thank you for letting me have the experience in a virtual way.
