I hope you don't mind that I shared your link to cancer sites in the uk, I have looked up the uk doctor that you told me about and yes she is great, I have one question for you, my B12 is borderline and it can be a risk for anaesthesia, I am worried about it since it says that it can lead to Dementia or not waking up from surgery, did you do have any special tests before surgery? I have been a smoker all my life not a heavy one but still, and a heavy drinker for many years, on and off rehab, I have stopped the heavy drinking but being alone at 56 it is hard to not want a drink once in a while, I am in a shelter for domestic abuse and find it hard to stop smoking. Love your posts btw.

Thanks! I'm so honored! I'm afraid that I can't give medical advice here. It's against a lot of rules. I am a nutritionist, but it's way more complex when you are planning for surgery. I can tell you that in general it is pretty normal to have low B levels, especially when your body has been in an inflammatory state as it has. I recommend methylated forms of B (the kind that start with "Methyl") if your doctor does recommend them. I too stopped drinking about a year ago and I'm so glad to have stopped. My thoughts are with you!
