4 other apps you can use with Thinkific for Online Courses

Thank you so much for the video. I am working on developing a training course for franchise restaurants and wanted to see how presentations could be incorporated into Thinkific courses. In literally EVERY KZbin video on Thinkific, the host goes to video training and sticks with video. I couldn't find anything on integrating presentations or integrating quizes until I found you. While video instruction is helpful, it's not the only types of training. You outlined those other options. Many thanks!

Thanks for this video. Do you know if you are able to have a splash screen or title screen on a multimedia file? I've been creating a multimedia lesson in Thinkific, uploading Captivate zip files and then I see a big play button instead of a title slide

Hello! Great question. Unlike videos that are stored in your video library, files uploaded to the multimedia are not stored in a central location with additional settings. For example, with a video, you can add a specific thumbnail, however, with a Captivate zip file you cannot. That being said, you should be able to manage this from within Captivate. @@highesthealthhomeopathy855 thanks for the question. There are multiple ways you can embed a Google slide into Thinkific, depending what you want the students to do. The slides needs to be published and then you can select the embedded i-frame text that will work in a text or multimedia lesson. You can also simply add the share link, but then student's will see it as though they are editing the Google slides. I will make a video demonstrating the different options.

Do you have an answer of disabling the complete and continue button that is active the whole time when storyline is exported into thinkific. I am finding that with multimedia thinkific is not recognizing when students complete a lesson and they are able to press complete and continue and skip through the whole course

Hi Franceen, this is a great question. Unfortunately, it cannot be disabled. Expanding on the above - Thinkific is not a Scorm-compliant platform. What I mean by that is that it can display your Storyline content when you export it ensuring you have done so in a Web Format publishing in HTML5. This means that no data is actually captured in Thinkific (meaning it is not Scorm compliant). So no matter what triggers you have set for course completion in Articulate, Thinkific will not be able to read the progression of the student.
