I just discovered this channel I’m enjoying the content you all are putting out I am kinda still new to the pipe world but the gravity method has been working for me with ribbon, crumble cake and flakes.

I hadn't heard of the circular method, so I need to give that a try! I read about a different method promoted by Fred Hanna which he called the "Air Gap" method. I would say that it is a modified "Plug n Pack" method like Nathan showed with the ribbon cut, but the object is to pack the tobacco tight in the top of the bowl and leave a gap of air under the tobacco for reasons that I don't recall (flavor enhancment or cooling the smoke?). I've only tried it a few times so I can't really say if it improves the flavor or not, but it does reduce the amount of tamping that is required. Thanks for another great video!

I’ve used all but the circular method. If my tobacco is in a bag I tend to just scoop it with the pipe and light it up. I do quick smokes so the scoop method is perfect for that.

Riley Holmes my youngest son uses that a lot, also. Thanks for watching!

I learned the gravity method 40 years ago from a guy at Tinderbox Tobacco. I use it or use what I call the 'Pinch and Poke' method. Pinch some tobacco and poke it in the pipe, tamp with your finger and do that 2 or more times. Check the draw and off you go.
