You should hear the project Dirk is in now.... He's stripped of almost all his flavor for a more commercial sound, but the band is overall not very good either. East of June. Underwhelming, but at least one of their tracks gives him some room.

Nightowl333 id love that to happen but since musicians self evolves with taste, sonics, way of playing through the years; what if Dirk comes back with them and the band as a whole don’t sound like they used to in their Science or Make yourself’s years? PS: I’m hopeful they would call Dirk if they get inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame, at least Jason from Metallica did it for the fans.

No. I love what Ben has done with Incubus. Love what Dirk did with Incubus. Everyone just needs to enjoy Incubus, Ben, Dirk (Alex) and pretty much just get over it. Enjoy what each did with each other. Enjoy what each does solo, or..ya know the side projects. Seriously if everyone could listen to it all, enjoy it for what it is/was, you will find that.. Everything moves in "Circles" with all the Incubus guys musically and artistic-wise. All of them collectively...the person(s) and projects/gigs as a whole. THAT is the only way to really comprehend it ALL.

The real deep cut artist here is Jeremy Wasser, the saxophonist from Hoobustank* ‎- They Sure Don't Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used To... days/Summer Romance (Anti-gravity Love Song) - Incubus. That the one that brings me extra joy, knowing that these guys do keep in contact and have wanted to do some side projects together again. I hope that they are still talking about doing things.

Glad to see Jose and Dirk not only back together but also doing hip-hop/funk. The only thing keeping this from being as good as Battlestar Scralatchtica is the lack of bass. I have the bass turned up reasonably high and have good hearing. Yet, all I can hear is drums, vocals, turntables, and alot of saxophone and guitar (which are either not credited or just samples). Don't get me wrong, I love sax and jazzy guitar but I was expecting more audible bass guitar. Maybe I'm just nitpicking. Either way, glad to see them back. Incubus needs to bring back Dirk or at least do a show with him sometime.

they all still hang. watched an interview where alex said he and brandon go for lunch, and jose and dirk hang out with eachothers daughters. even alex and ben are friends. just cuz he left, doesnt mean it was on bad terms. he married a woman, and detoxed himself from alcoholism
