@XhiXhi It’s not about it being detrimental, but I think it’s an option that wouldn’t be fun, even if to just fuck around. I most certainly don’t see people having fun with it if the game doesn’t even have the capacity for more than 1v1, but if a game, like say Cross Tag, or even FighterZ, which does has a 3 player vs 3 player option online, allowed it, I wouldn’t care, I’m simply going off the whole “Every fighting game” part of the original comment, which is why I said it wouldn’t work.

Considering that Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite was seemingly ditched by Capcom (also look at how uneven the roster is in terms of how many Marvel and Capcom characters there are), the least that they should do that would make business-sense and appeal to tons of fans is make a collection on modern consoles that includes (at least): - X-Men vs. Street Fighter - Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter - Marvel vs. Capcom - Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Imagine those games, roll back net code, enhanced visuals properly done, fast load times, arcade perfect gameplay, all the characters unlocked, and maybe even stuff like this 4 player tag mode. Maybe...Just maybe...that could be what is needed to make a proper Marvel vs. Capcom 4. Just saying...

I think a vs. game where each character is controlled by a different player would be so sick. Like everything your character did including assists would have to be done by you, so communication and planning with your friends would be a must. Imagine in like marvel 3 if you and two friends could go up against other groups of three, it would be so fun and incorporate a semblance of socialization in the gameplay itself. Or like in bbtag when you do a cross combo the other player is doing it instead of you so you'd have to lab out your team combos with a friend. And it would be cool because when you tag out your character, you could have a moment to think about what just happened and how to counter it once your back in, like an actual tag out. It would make for a super dynamic and interesting fighting game IMO. And the tournaments would be insane.

Right at the beginning Simmons always being the Negative Nancy. My friend had Muscular Dystrophy and made and believed impossible things to happen. The doctor told him he had two years to live and he said "That's not going to happen. Doc." He surpassed that and showed that doctor. Max sometimes reminds me of my friend in this video and showed that Debby Downer who is the boss. Edit: If people are wondering what happened to my friend he did pass away years far to the point the doctor stopped guessing. His grapefruits no joke swilled to the size of grapefruits. When I was a kid, I had Marvel vs Capcom 1 for my PS1, and my brother and cousins and I would stay up ALL NIGHT throughout the summer in this mode. Lots of good memories. Glad to see Hulk, Mega Man, and Wolverine are as broken as I remember! I didn't even know MvC2 was 3v3 until I was in high school!

I used to play something like this in the early 2000s during the old days of arcade emulation where a version of MAME with Kaillera netplay had 4 player MvC and 6 player KOF like this. Sadly, I don't remember any 4p MvC matchups that just straight up revolved into this fun shit

Things like this in terms on novelty haven't been pulled off a lot in fighting games. I'd say NRS have been the only major devs sticking to that sense of unique or "nonsensical/fun" modes. I think a little more focus on multi-player and unique modes would be nice.
