travel filmmaking is so oversaturated nowadays its really hard to stand out. However Brandon always sticks to his roots and makes something so unique everytime.
@Leprutz

I agree with over saturated. But specially cause in all those videos... there is no story at all. Brandon Li's films are great... but even though they tend to be the same again... But unarguably for now the best I have seen.

You have great advices for myself. I'm getting on a vacation with my family to Hong Kong and I can't wait to film the entire 5 days trip. But you are right, its a family vacation. Spending time together with family during the vacation is more important than film them with a camera. Thanks!

Funny you mention the telephone call voiceover. I created a series of promotional videos that used a phone call to a friend as the underlying theme. Clients loved it and the campaign worked. Also, thank you for the idea of organizing clips by day/night, and for thinking about shooting during travel when light is best.

cheapo airlines are restricting carry-on luggage , so I'm limited to an 18-140 kit lens , and an ultra-wide zoom lens for my pair of Nikon D 7000 series DSLR's .My problem is I don't want to spend money on a state-of-the-art mic , as I'm a stills photographer at heart

I've been traveling a bunch over the years and got my kit down fairly small. 2 bags total and both can carry on with me. You need to look into tech that's built tough but made small. I've recently found my travel tripod being the Benro Aero4, breaks down and fits in the overhead. I've even traveled with an FS5 + A7rii combo using this setup. Good luck!
