4 Problems with Cupra Formentor/-19c cold start

I have the same car and the exact same issues. The ceiling light console was replaced under warranty and it's worked fine since.

Funnily enough when it was -15C or colder, the keyless started working on my car. So there was about 5 days of happiness over working keyless entry :D

I have same issue with keyless but only with passenger said door! I have also electronic problems sometimes my all system restarting 😀 after tow months of use im thinking to change it 😀

Well those issues are also with premium high class cars. I had Audi Q7, Q8 and S7. Bluetooth not working or rather not connecting properly, Car sensing I want to park even though it is just a traffic jam, Car alarming as if there was somethin in the way even though there is nothing there and so on...and all that with + degrees.

As for passing it has adaptive cruise control with lane assist. If you trying to pass a car on your left it stops, because you can’t pass cars in dual lane road from your left.

Actually doesnt matter witch side, car still hit brakes on. At first when i bought my Formentor it was annoying as f*ck, no other car i had never did this. But now just gotten used to this already. Wont happen every time. Less when its clear day and more with bad weather

Good day! It actually doesnt eat oil much, but if you drive hard and really enjoy the car ofc every car eats a little oil. All the issues Formentor has i talked about in this video. Gonna have now my first service soon and probably gonna make a small video about those problems, service cost and some more.

Third one is the worst for me the sealing panel, at first it poped up non stop tech call you dont have a licence, this service is deactivated please contact your costumer service blabla and it was so damn loud aswell. Got the whole sealing lights panel relpaced with warranty. And now that lights on and off and nothing works until car gets warm enough, its crazy annoying! Gonna take my cupra to my dealership Again...

It must be annoying having these problems,but in the U.K. it’s unlikely to have temperature as low as -19.

Interior lights give them a good clean as these touch lights they can sense finger prints , that might be why it’s a disco at night 🤪 , I don’t use the cruise control gimmicks let’s drive it instead so it doesn’t attempt to kill us , vz310 owners 😀 , good luck with it all 👍🏻

Tryd cleaning yes but still nothing, car still has to warm up before it starts to work normally

Im also a owner Cupra VZ, but tuned up to 420KM. Ceiling control panel its a common issue. Please replace under guaranty. Mine VZ has also glass roof, that is also controlled by this touch ceiling panell, its not fine when roof doors opens itself at outumn or winter. It happens quite oftetr, so i prefer if pannel locked completally. After replacement is OK, but i noticed once automaitc call to service due to new panel. This is common issue at new relased cupra formentrs. Nothing is perfect. :-) I also noticed that exhaust flaps can stuck above tens minus celcius degree, noted as DTC error at OBD11 interface. Another my issue is projected side mirror Cupra logo, it gets some artificial spots lines at it. Greatings from Poland.

Actually got my sealing panel replaced by warranty already, but still problem remains if its too cold, lights still go on and off and sometimes calls to tech service, until car warms up and everything works fine again. Now communicating with my dealership and trying to find some solution to this never ending problem. Just seems like Formentor hates cold and shows it with these problems. Im planing to get a tune for my Formentor this summer.

Owning the vz5 version and can say that the indoor lights control sometimes does not work and this seem not be temperature related. It’s the shitty software Volkswagen ships to all its subsidiaries. No clue why it’s so difficult to make it work properly, but bad software seems to be a trend here in Germany meanwhile, and not only in car systems.

Yep, all works if its not too cold If car sits overnight with more then -10c lights control doesnt work but not only, sometimes it starts to call tech help aswell until car warms up
