Thanks for watching. Just remember to have some liquid in it when cooking, even if it means putting food on a rack in side or even can put food in a bowl to cook with water or something surrounding the bowl. Need the liquid to make steam ,for pressure.If it is first pressure cooker you have used ,it will just be a little trial and error till you figure it out. I have ruined a few things learning how to cook different things.

I have this same pressure cooker...love it..since there is only the 2 of us..but, I do have a 6 qt ..Nesco...to which I love...for the bigger meals. Both r great cookers.

We have this same model and also call it our magic pot. I think that the seal needs to be replaced because I saw steam escaping around the top while pressure cooking something last night. I have to check the manual to find out how to get some. We have had it for years and use it daily mostly as a slow cooker.

Question...I have this same cooker..love it..but when I used it today, it built up pressure and started whistling. I unplugged it quickly Can u please tell me what to do...I took it apart and it is clean

Help please !!! I bought this same pressure cooker at a thrift store and there's no instructions. What pressure do I set it at? Like... For 3 pounds of chuck roast ? It says time/pressure. I'm a beginner, so of anyone can detail this for me. It goes from 01 to 99 Then it goes to 1.0 and up... I totally don't understand this. Is this the temperature ? I don't understand this system, and this video is the best thing I've found on the Internet. Thanks. There's no manual to download that I searched for. I have everything in the pot right now. Is it to full , does it have enough liquid in it , those two things can cause it not to pressurize . other than that not sure

I have never tried that to be honest . . But would think without some kind of water ,it would not make enough pressure to seal the pot . If i am thinking right a broaster uses only oil and i am not sure if it would work the same in this pot.. Another thing is, I do not know enough about how broasters actually work to honestly answer the question. I guess i am, saying I do not really know the answer for sure.

My pressure cooker just stopped working out of nowhere! In the middle of cooking a meal. The screen (lights/buttons) all went blank! I had just gotten into using it regularly. I have used it maybe six times. Any troubleshooting tips? Has this happened to you? Also, prior to this happening, it seemed to have stopped beeping when it was done. I am not sure if it continued cooking, or just "finished" and not beeped. Please help :(

The thermal fuse in the bottom of the cooker blew. It can be replaced.

I am not sure , But think 13 is high and 7 is low but not sure . I think that is what a lot of them are , and i think that is why a lot of pressure canner recipes say add 10% to the time if using an electric pressure cooker . I think now some pots are 15 pounds

Do you have plenty of water in the pot , also if there is a lot of liquid it will take a long time to get up to pressure . and if not enough liquid it will not build up steam

the cooking pot in this one is the same diameter as our bigger one . The pot is just not as tall as the bigger one

No ,It is the pressure that makes it cook faster ,and they all have around the same pressure. Some of the smaller pots do have a slightly smaller wattage heating element, and take longer to heat up. But the timer in the cooker will not start counting down till it gets up to heat and pressure, so the cooking time you enter will be the same on them.

+Carla Eades Yes if left alone ,after timer is done it starts to cool off and releases the pressure . there is a lock on the lid that will not let you open it till the pressure is gone . There is also a way to quick release the pressure manually

+Carla Eades wolfgang puck has a few interesting videos on cooking with electric pressure cookers , well i guess infomercials . The timers are a little different from brand to brand , but all are basically the same in operation , so any electric pressure cooker video would be helpful.
